A man may be living with the alertness, insight, intelligence and respectability that would equal the stature of the preceptor of Gods, Brihaspati himself. He may be very clean, transparent, and noble too in his dealings. However, if greedy idiots, in substantial numbers, who keep themselves afloat and active in the field through deception and fraud, all flock together with a lot of determination, and unity of purpose, would make that guiltless person guilty, they would ascribe motives, build up scandals and fix the innocent, guiltless person.

The power of wicked, concerted intrigue, discussed in Mahabharatham, again repeated in Panchatantra. History has seen too many such intrigues up to the present day.
