प्रत्यूहः सर्वसिद्धीनामुत्तापः प्रथमं किल।
अतिशीतलमप्यम्भः किं भिनत्ति न भूभृतः॥
इन्दिश्चे स्प्रूचे १८५३ हितोपदेशे*
pratyūhaḥ sarvasiddhīnāmuttāpaḥ prathamaṁ kila|
atiśītalamapyambhaḥ kiṁ bhinatti na bhūbhṛtaḥ||

The initial impatience to achieve results, the excessive heat at the start, the impulsive attitude to ensure quick results, actually becomes a huge impediment, roadblock and dampener for the successful completion of any project.
This is why one should be patient and work with level head and methodically all along. See even the coldest waters flowing down from the summits of mountains erode the peaks slowly and steadily and find their way down to the valley.
(The water in the top of the mountain need heat up initially to create cracks in the rocks and flow down. Similarly one person who plans for some success need not show too much of impatience even at the start of the project. Things will move to successful culmination in proper time.)

सर्वसिद्धीनां all achievements उत्तापः the impatience, impusivenes, too much of heat प्रथमं in the beginning प्रत्यूहःभवति becomes impediment किल indeed पश्य see ( why do not be patient and methodical ?)अति शीतलं extremely cold अपि even अम्भः water भूभृतः mountains न भिनत्ति किं do they not erode, break ?
