Except for the status messages in WhatsApp that are simply very incomplete and inadequate condensations of what I would have written in detail elsewhere, I never send any message to anyone unless I am sure that such message is read by and is useful to the recipient. I never send group messages or broadcasts. I choose the recipient for each message.
In spite of that, I get cold-shouldered. Often when I cut off people who show lack of interest or empty heartiness they come back and I relent and restore the connection. However, I feel that is a wasteful exercise. My messages from now will come to only those who are genuinely interested. Definitely not to others.
Our ancient tradition is that ideas and knowledge we should not share knowledge with those who are not keenly interested and those who are just fake and careless.
Therefore, instead of having audience of thousands in various forums I have already chosen to restrict my number of contacts to about eighty. The number can only deplete or thin down in future.
