Our body made of skin, flesh and bones and irrigated by blood, is just a sort of spacesuit for the survival of the inner core, maybe the soul, on this earth.. The dress over that worn by us is only like paint or whitewash.. So the outward dress might not matter much,
But Kalidasa said in kumarasambhavam..
Bhavanthi saamyepi nivishtachetasaam vapurvishesheshwathigouravaaH KriyaaH भवन्ति साम्येऽपि निविष्टचेतसां वपुर्विशेषेश्वतिगौरवाःक्रियाः
"Even for one who has embraced equlity of all creations as a cardinal philosophy, it is the duty that special respect should be given to persons who are manifestly venerable."
