I read some friend's post in his status bar..

" I do not entertain messages like Good Morning,

How are you sir etc.

Such messages are unwelcome ."

It was a shock to me to see such a statement.

Like many this man too had canvassed my friendship.. and I wonder whether I made a mistake in accepting him as a friend.

Usually I too do not use Facebook for just wishing Good Morning or Good day..

I somehow believe there are better things to do with social media..

But to make a statement like that.. is it not rude?

We have to be grateful that someone is our friend..at least in Facebook..

Moreover, if he is sending goodwill messages often, it proves that he is caring for us..

That fact should make us more grateful..

(I would exclude psychos and perverts who sent chat messages.. for reasons best known)

People tend to get arrogant when they are shown even the slightest importance..

They become domineering too..

Looking back I too am in the habit of making sarcastic remarks about the funny propensities of some friends in social media..

But then I am critical of the habits and not of the friends in person..

I wonder..

I might have hurt some friends even by that..
