Don't know whether to laugh or cry..

If one reads a reasonably well written and well received book or article on history or any other subject of sincere and authentic research, one can see and feel the amount of meticulous reading and evaluation that has gone into before each word, each syllable, each sentence is crafted.. And the author would have attempted in all earnestness to quote many authorities, with source, bibliography, page numbers, and all similar references.. Reading such a work would make one feel that he is sitting in the sanctum of authenticity, enjoying the fragrance of quintessential knowledge.. There will never be statements like "it is accepted universally", "it is the view of the Scholars" etc.. There is no universality or universal acceptability for anything.. There is no man or thing called a scholar.. The scholar should have a name, a reasonable identity, and if his views are recorded in some work, the existence, the authenticity, the relevance and the track record of acceptance for such author and work, should first be tested and quoted and then alone one can think whether the claim of such "Scholarship" is acceptable. .
In social media one can post any "gas" and if he can work up a nice vocabulary and flowing and fluent string of words , he can pass up anything as authentic.. And people, who are avowedly professionals like lawyers or scientists or IT experts or even spiritualists, going by their claim in the profiles, indulge in such game.
Don't know whether to laugh or cry..
