आर्यवृत्तमिदं वृत्तमिति विज्ञाय शाश्वतम् ।
सन्तः परार्थं कुर्वाणा नावेक्षन्ते प्रतिक्रियाम् ॥३१३॥
सारसमुच्चये
āryavṛttamidaṃ vṛttamiti vijñāya śāśvatam ।
sant Saarasamucchaye
aḥ parārthaṃ kurvāṇā nāvekṣante pratikriyām ॥313॥
इदं this वृत्तं action, activity शाश्वतं ever, permanent, eternal आर्यवृत्तं traditionally followed, prescribed by elders इति thus विज्ञाय knowing, understanding सन्तः noble people परार्थं actions which are beneficial for others कुर्वन्ति do perform ते they प्रतिक्रियां benefits in return न अवेक्षन्ते never see, never consider, never think of
People with noble heart do things that are beneficial to one and all because they know that that is the right course of action prescribed by tradition and the eternal rules of proper behaviour. They do not think whether such action on their part would bring any personal benefits for themselves.
ആര്യവൃത്തമിദം വൃത്തമിതി വിജ്ഞായ ശാശ്വതം ।
സന്തഃ പരാര്ത്ഥം കുര്വ്വാണാ നാവേക്ഷന്തേ പ്രതിക്രിയാം ॥൩൧൩॥
സദ്ഗുണ സമ്പന്നരായ മഹദ് വ്യക്തികള് തങ്ങളുടെ ജീവിത ചര്യയും പ്രവൃത്തികളും നിശ്ചയിച്ചു തീരുമാനിക്കുന്നത് അത്തരം മാര്ഗ്ഗം എന്നും നല്ലവരായ പൂര്വികന്മാര് കടുകിട വ്യതിചലിക്കാതെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നതാനെന്നും അവ യഥാര്ത്ഥത്തില് എല്ലാവര്ക്കും നന്മ മാത്രം വരുത്തുന്നത് ആണെന്നും ഉറപ്പു വരുത്തിയ ശേഷം ആയിരിക്കും. അവര് അത്തരം പ്രവൃത്തികള് കൊണ്ട് തനിക്ക് വ്യക്തിപരമായി എന്തെങ്കിലും നേട്ടം തിരിച്ചു കിട്ടുമോ എന്ന കാര്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ചിന്തിക്കാറെയില്ല
