The benefits of association with men of class and erudition

तमांसि ध्वंसन्ते परिणमति भूयानुपशमः

सकृत्संवादेऽपि प्रथत इह चामुत्र च शुभम् ।

अथ प्रत्यासङ्गः कमपि महिमानं वितरति

प्रसन्नानां वाचः फलमपरिमेयं प्रसुवते ॥

The benefits of association with virtuous people is immense. It destroys all your bad habits. They have a calming effect on your mind. Even if they speak to you once, it will help you in this world and after life too. Their association will spread greatness to every body involved. If they happily talk to you, it will bear lot of sweet fruits

tamāṃsi dhvaṃsante pariṇamati bhūyānupaśamaḥ

sakṛtsaṃvāde'pi prathata iha cāmutra ca śubham ।

atha pratyāsaṅgaḥ kamapi mahimānaṃ vitarati

prasannānāṃ vācaḥ phalamaparimeyaṃ prasuvate ॥

The benefits of association with men of class and erudition are great beyond description by mere words.

Such association dispels darkness of ignorance and bad habits from our minds

Such association bestows peace and calmness to our minds

Even a casual talk with such grat souls would bring us welfare and prosperity in this world and in the world we would reach when we depart

Such interaction would bring only benefit and bounties for all the participants.

Thus the results generated by Satasanga are indeed immense

തമാംസി ധ്വംസന്തേ പരിണമതി ഭൂയാനുപശമഃ

സകൃത്സംവാദേഽപി പ്രഥത ഇഹ ചാമുത്ര ച ശുഭം ।

അഥ പ്രത്യാസങ്ഗഃ കമപി മഹിമാനം വിതരതി

പ്രസന്നാനാം വാചഃ ഫലമപരിമേയം പ്രസുവതേ ॥

അറിവും തരവും നന്മയും ഉള്ള സജ്ജനങ്ങളുമായുള്ള ഇടപെടലുകളും സഹവാസവും നമുക്ക് വെറും വാക്കുകള്‍ കൊണ്ട് പറഞ്ഞറിയിക്കാന്‍ പറ്റുന്നതില്‍ ഏറെ നല്ല ഫലങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കും.

അത്തരം സത്സംഗം നമ്മില്‍ ഉരുണ്ടുകൂടിക്കിടക്കുന്ന അറിവില്ലായ്മയുടെയും കട്ടപിടിച്ചു കിടക്കുന്ന ദുഃസ്വഭാവങ്ങളുടെയും ഇരുട്ട് ഇല്ലാതാക്കും

അത്തരം സത്സംഗം നമ്മുടെ മനസ്സിന് ശാന്തിയും സന്തുലിതാവസ്ഥയും നല്‍കും

അത്തരം മഹത്തുകളില്‍ നിന്ന് വല്ലപ്പോഴും വീണുകിട്ടുന്ന നല്ല വാക്കുകള്‍ പോലും നമുക്ക് ഈ ഭൂമിയിലും പരലോകത്തിലും നന്മയും സമൃദ്ധിയും ധാരാളം വന്നു ചേരാന്‍ കാരണങ്ങള്‍ ആയി തീരും.

അതുപോലുള്ള സത്സംഗം എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും നന്മയും ഉന്നതിയും മാത്രം തന്ന് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും
