As a species or even as a race, we human beings are just ungrateful..This is a fact although we speak eloquently, and read in profusion too, about the greatness of being simple thankful
If our parents just left us and did not fret and fume about how we grew and progressed. we would have been nowhere..
Not only parents, but relatives, neighbours and many others guided us..
But we tend to assume that it was just their social duty and there is nothing much to feel grateful about it.
Our teachers... they made us what we are..
The attitude of every student and his or her parents is that either the State or they themselves pay more that adequately for the service rendered by the teacher...
Is it true.. ?
Who can convert the amount of knowledge imparted into monetary terms?
We tend to disregard the teachers, and often tend to insult them too..
For a teacher, to be ignored or insulted by a student is worse than death..
Take the case of a street vendor, a businessman, or a professional, a doctor.. even a politician..
Maybe we can see selfishness in many of their activities..
But can you find anything not selfish and partial in this world?
Here again we feel we are paying for the services more than adequately..
But there is no mechanism for evaluation of such services..
And usually we feel desolate when any of the services get interrupted..
There we cannot give a rupee value for the inconvenience suffered..
Let us try to be grateful.. although it is not our basic nature..
The pleasure we can give, the sunshine we can spread, through a simple "Thank you" too is something which nobody can value in terms of money..
