A system which has been rational and reasonably intelligent and sensitive too, would adapt itself to subtle deviations caused by time, space and other parameters, with great dexterity and would survive as fairly rational albeit the ravages of time etc..
But history is witness to many situations where established values and even the definition of sanity get obliterated, and the floodgates are opened to usher in very different ethos and even thought processes are erased to a level of clinical sterilization and the mind is re-programmed..
It is another thing whether such changes are/were for the betterment of humanity or were otherwise..
We in India have now worn false masks too long, and in the process have forgotten our original shape.. So rational thinking has lost much of its relevance..
