An ancient article of faith reflected in Mahabharatham

अनसूयः कृतप्रज्ञः शोभनानाचरन् सदा।

न कृच्छ्रं महदाप्नोति सर्वत्र च विरोचते॥

इन्दिश्चे स्प्रूचे ३४५७ महाभारते

anasūyaḥ kṛtaprajñaḥ śobhanānācaran sadā|

na kṛcchraṁ mahadāpnoti sarvatra ca virocate||

indiśce sprūce 3457 mahābhārate

A person who does not grumble, nor he is jealous, whe is everefficient and would act only fairly and with goodwill and best intentions , would not face serious difficulties in life and he would shine everywhere. (An ancient article of faith reflected in Mahabharatham)

Yes, it was in the backdrop of a fair, transparent and hearty society generally thriving in the times of epic Mabahbharatam. It is a big question whether such people, could keep themselves afloat in the present social conditions. No amount of fairness, no right knowledge, not the lack of jealousy nor goodwill for others, would permit a fellow to survive. One has to be cruel and bitchy if he has to shine in the society at present. What a sad state of affairs !

अनसूयः one who lacks jealousy, one who does not grumble and complain all the time कृतप्रज्ञः whose intellect has been kindled and seasoned by the right knowledge and education सदा ever शोभनान् nice and positive, bringing welfare and benefit for all आचरन् doing work नरः man महत् great, insurmountable कृच्छ्रं difficulties, crises,न आप्नोति never attains सः he सर्वत्र shines विरोचते everywhere
