विक्रेतुकामाखिलगोपकन्या मुरारिपादार्पितचित्त्वृतिः

दध्यादिकम् मोहवशादवोचत् गोविनदामोदर्माधवेति॥

young ladies of Vrindavan have set out with pots of milk, butter and curd balanced over their heads..

They are walking along the streets selling the dairy products..

They are supposed to call out in loud voice that they bringing milk, curd, butter.. etc

so that people would come out and buy these

But their minds are madly attracted by the son of Yasodha and they are living in a world of delusion where they can find only Krishna..

So they are crying aloud..

പാലും തൈരും വെണ്ണയും നിറച്ച പാത്രങ്ങളുമേന്തി

അവ വില്‍ക്കുവാനായി അമ്പാടിയിലെ പെണ്‍കൊടികള്‍ പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

അവരുടെ മനസ്സില്‍ കണ്ണന്‍ മാത്രം. വേറൊന്നുമില്ല ..

വില്‍പ്പന നടക്കണമെങ്കില്‍ " പാല് - തയിര്- വെണ്ണ "

എന്നൊക്കെ ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ചു പറയണ്ടേ?

പക്ഷെ അതിനു പകരം

അവനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സ്വപ്നങ്ങളില്‍ മനം മയങ്ങിനടക്കുന്ന

ആ പെണ്‍കുട്ടികള്‍ ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ചുപറയുന്നു.
