no one can attain objectivity and detachment to perfection

Objectivity and detachment are ideals we strive to attain,
and sadly no one can attain such things to perfection..
Human mind is a very queer entity..
It gets elated, depressed, antagonistic, friendly, and so on, usually on the basis of first impressions..
Perhaps God ordained such reactions as an ideal response in self defence..
Such reactions are shared by us in common with almost all living beings..
But then He has given us the faculty to reminisce, think over, and on retrospection, we tend to see things from a more realistic angle..
I think nothing is gained by repressing our initial responses..
often such repression leads to building up of tension inside.. physical and mental too..
and can lead to depression..
I agree there are situations in life where we have to eat humble pie, just out of helplessness, for lack of power or clout ..
Or as an act meant to maintain good relations..and even to keep a source of benefit in tact..
But then that is only a secondary act..
We need not allow the steam to build up pressure when we have the choice not to do so..
