Future is just a speculation.

 

The hardcore Vedantin may say that even the present, even this very minute, is an illusion.

However, most of us are just ordinary human beings.

Nevertheless, even for the down to earth realists, this minute, the present, is the only reality.

Future is just a speculation.

We may imagine for it many bright things, we may churn up in mind many a nightmares, but there is an even chance than whatever we think may or may not happen.

In addition, the near past, the infinitely ancient past, or even the split second that we have passed through and anything in between, is gone forever.

We can only spin yarns about what we have done or what we could have done. However, we can do nothing about it.

May be there were many real things that happened in the past. However, our memories as Individuals and as groups are so uncertain and hazy that we cannot even say what has really happened in the past.

Therefore, the best way is to grab the present, and just live it off.
