Every human being has at least two distinct facets in himself..( of course there can be many classifications between the two extremes.)
The personal and social life, where all emotions, pleasures, pains, friendships, love, kinship, social auditing and criticism as well as logical self evaluation .. and similar factors would govern his life..
And in pursuing the social life, the individual can be even selfish and opportunistic..
But there is a spiritual aspect in us.. there we look at more nobler and selfless, philosophic and visionary traits of life.. and a lot of unquestioned faith without ever considering whether such belief is logical or not, comes into play..
Usually, the two aspects vary in degree among people .. and more or less balance one another..
The average people are who follow the average path..
If there is no balance,
there will be a society full of ruffians and thugs at one extreme,
or
a group of seers and visionaries and perhaps soft people with no ambitions, and no particular aim at personal advancement would proliferate at the other extreme..
Talking of Vedantam and writing spiritedly about Moksham, and renunciation,, and making such posts in social media is quite easy..
But real life is different..
