न हि भवति वियोगः स्नेहविच्छेदहेतुर्जगति गुणनिधीनां सज्जनानां कदाचित्।
घनतिमिरिननिबद्धो दूरसंस्थोऽपि चन्द्रः किमु कुमुदवनानां प्रेमभङ्गं करोति॥
na hi bhavati viyogaḥ snehavicchedaheturjagati guṇa nidhīnāṁ sajjanānāṁ kadācit|
ghanatimirinanibaddho dūrasaṁstho'pi candraḥ kimu kumudavanānāpreamabhaṅgaṁ karoti||

ഉന്നതമായ സ്വഭാവ വൈശിഷ്ട്യം കൈമുതലാക്കിയ വ്യക്തികള്ക്ക് ഏറെ ദൂരം വിട്ടുനില്ക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലുള്ള താമസം ഒരിക്കലും അവരുടെ ദൃഡമായ സൌഹൃദത്തിന് കോട്ടം തട്ടുന്ന വിധം വിലങ്ങുതടികളായി മാറാറില്ല.
ചന്ദ്രനെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കൂ. അവന് ദൂരെ വാനത്ത് കൂരിരുട്ടിന്റെ നടുവില് ഉദിക്കുന്നു. ഏറെ ദൂരെയുള്ള അവന്റെ താമസം അവന് ആമ്പല്പൂവിനോടുള്ള തീവ്രമായ അനുരാഗത്തില് ഒരു കോട്ടവും വരുത്തുന്നില്ല. അവന് അവിടുന്ന് പൊഴിക്കുന്ന നിലാവിന്റെ കതിരുകള് ഭൂമിയില് ഏതോ കോണില് ഏതോ പൊയ്കയില് വിടരാന് വെമ്പി നില്ക്കുന്ന ആമ്പല് മൊട്ടുകളെ തൊട്ടുണര്ത്തി വിടര്ത്തുന്നു.
നിലാവ് ഉദിക്കുമ്പോള് മാത്രം ആ നിലാവിന്റെ കുളിരും തഴുകലും ഏറ്റു മാത്രം ആമ്പല്പ്പൂക്കള് വിടരുന്നു എന്നത് പ്രകൃതിയിലെ ഒരു സുന്ദരമായ പ്രതിഭാസം ആണ്.
