What is that I should pray before you or ask for from you

योगक्षेमधुरन्धरस्य सकलः श्रेयः पदोध्योगिनो 

दृष्टादृष्टमतोपदेशकृतिनो बाह्यन्तरव्यापिनः। 

सर्वज्ञस्य दयाकरस्य किं वेदितव्यं मया 

शम्भो त्वं परमान्तरंग इति मे चित्ते स्मराम्यन्वहम्॥ 

yogakṣemadhurandharasya sakalaḥ śreyaḥ padodhyogino 

dṛṣṭādṛṣṭamatopadeśakṛtino bāhyantaravyāpinaḥ | 

sarvajñasya dayākarasya kiṁ veditavyaṁ mayā 

śambho tvaṁ paramāntaraṁga iti me citte smarāmyanvaham// 

This is Stanza 35 of Bhagavatpada’s Shivanandalahari. 

Oh Lord Shambho… 

What is that I should pray before you or ask for from you.. 

You are the Lord who is eager to look after the welfare of your devotees even without asking. 

You are the one who would place your devotees always in the path of welfare even without asking for. 

You are the one who is the ultimate source of knowledge who advises your devotees in all aspects and views of world and in philosopy of the seen and the unseen,

You are the one who is present within and outside all of us living beings, 

you are the one who knows everything, you are the ultimate source of mercy who would give everything without asking, 

Therefore, I just take you as the indweller Paramatvatattwa present in me and I am always meditating upon you in that way.. 

യോഗക്ഷേമധുരന്ധരസ്യ സകല ശ്രേയഃ പദോധ്യോഗിനോ 

ദൃഷ്ടാദൃഷ്ടമതോപദേശകൃതിനോ ബാഹ്യന്തരവ്യാപിനഃ । 

സര്വജ്ഞസ്യ ദയാകരസ്യ കിം വേദിതവ്യം മയാ 

ശംഭോ, ത്വം പരമാന്തരംഗ ഇതി മേ ചിത്തേ സ്മരാമ്യന്വഹം॥

അല്ലയോ ഭഗവാനായ ശംഭോ ! ഞാന്‍ എന്താണ് പ്രത്യേകിച്ചു നിന്തിരുവടിയോടു പ്രാര്‍ഥിക്കേണ്ടത് ആവശ്യപ്പെടേണ്ടത്? 

അവിടുന്ന് ഒന്നും ആവശ്യപ്പെടാതെ തന്നെ ഭക്തരുടെ നന്മയും ക്ഷേമവും ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്നതില്‍ സ്വയം അതീവ തല്‍പരനാണ്‌. 

അവിടുന്ന് തന്നെ എപ്പോഴും ഭക്തരെ സമൃദ്ധിയുടെയും സമ്പത്തിന്റെയും വഴിയില്‍ മുന്നോട്ടു നയിക്കുന്നു 

ദ്രഷ്ടവും അദൃഷ്ടവും ആയ എല്ലാ അറിവുകളിലും തത്വശാസ്ത്രങ്ങളിലും അവിടുന്ന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ വഴികാട്ടിയാണ്. അത്തരം അറിവിന്റെ ഉറവിടം തന്നെ നിന്തിരുവടിയാണ് 

നിന്തിരുവടി എല്ലാ വസ്തുക്കളുടെയും ഉള്ളിലും പുറത്തും നിറഞ്ഞു നില്‍ക്കുന്ന പ്രതിഭാസമാണ് 

അവിടുത്തേക്ക്‌ അറിയാത്തതായി ഒന്നുമില്ല 

ഇതിനെല്ലാമുപരി അങ്ങ് ഭക്തരോടുള്ള കരുണാ വായ്പ്പിന്‍റെ വറ്റാത്ത ഉറവിടമാണ് 

ഞാന്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെടാതെ തന്നെ എനിക്ക് വേണ്ടതെല്ലാം അവിടുന്നു കനിഞ്ഞു അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും 

അതിനാല്‍ അവിടുത്തെ എന്റെ അന്തരംഗത്തില്‍ പ്രകാശിക്കുന്ന പരമാത്മ തത്ത്വമായി എന്നും സ്മരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ജീവിക്കാന്‍ അനുവാദമുണ്ടാവണേ
