एकादशस्थे गोविन्दे मुकुन्दे श्रीनिकेतने।

किं कुर्वन्ति ग्रहाः सर्वे शन्यर्काङ्गारकादयः॥

ekādaśasthe govinde mukunde śrīniketane|

kiṁ kurvanti grahāḥ sarve śanyarkāṅgārakādayaḥ||

(“मुकुम् भक्तिरसप्रेमवचनं वेदसम्मतम् ।

यस्तद् ददाति भक्तेभ्यो मुकुन्दस्तेन कीर्त्तितः” ब्रह्मवै० Brahmavaivartaka Puranam Defines Mukunda as the one who speaks out or gives to his devotees words filled with devotion and laced with devotion, words which are accepted by Vedas )

When the Lord Krishna the Narayana

Who is Govinda, the protector of cows, protector of words and speech, who is the master of the earth

Who is Mukunda, the Lord who ever speaks words of Love and Devotion, the Lord who is praised by the Vedas,

Who is Sriniketana, the Divinity in whose body and form resides the Goddess of wealth and welfare Shree

Is positioned in the eleventh place

Is happily worshipped on the eleventh day of the lunar cycle Ekadashi ,

What can planets like Shani, Sun or Mars can do anything adverse to His Devotees ?

Even the planets who are by nature evil can have no adverse effect on the Devotee of Hari who worships the Lord on the Ekadashi Day..

In astrological terms if the master of Words, the preceptor Guru is placed in the Eleventh house in the Chart, then the evil effects of positioning of kroora grahas like Sun, Mars or Saturn would not affect the native.

The statement is attributed to Sage Sanatkumar..( one of the four sons of Brahma who are ever young with the age of five to six years),

The sage is addressing another great sage ( the name of the second sage is not given) and is saying

Oh Great Sage, the man with clouded and idiotic mind who takes food on the day of Ekadashi ( the eleventh day in both the lunar cycles), is swallowing each morsel of food as if he is consuming the excreta of a dog.. and incurs the same uncleanliness and pollution of doing so..

glory of Ekadashi

एकादशस्थे गोविन्दे सर्वेऽप्येकादशे स्थिताः।

किं कुर्वन्ति ग्रहाः सर्वे शनिरङ्गारको गुरुः॥

समयोचितपद्यमालिकायाम्।

ekādaśasthe govinde sarve'pyekādaśe sthitāḥ|

kiṁ kurvanti grahāḥ sarve śaniraṅgārako guruḥ||

On the Ekadashi day which is the day for Govinda,

the day where Govinda the Krishna stands with all happiness, all the planets are bound to give us the most favourable results

as if they are all stationed in the eleventh place in our Rasi Chakram.

All the planets, including Saturn, Jupiter and Mars.. Shani, Guru and Angaraka, can do nor harm when Govinda is present in his Ekadashi day..

Ekadashi is the eleventh day in the waxing and waning phases of the moon.. and occurs two times a month.. The day is considered as blessed and belonging to Krishna..

Ekadasa can mean favourable disposition..

If Govinda is kind to us and is ready to bless us, other planets and Fate itself has to obey Him and come to our help..

It is the unanimous view of Indian Astrology that when a planet is placed in the eleventh place in the Rasi Chakram.. from Ascendent Lagna or even from moon, that planet would do only good for the subject.

ഗോവിന്ദനായ ഭഗവാന്‍ കൃഷ്ണന്‍റെ സുദിനമാണ് ഏകാദശി. അന്നേ ദിവസം ഭഗവാന്‍ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ നമ്മെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ എല്ലാ ഗ്രഹങ്ങളും നമുക്ക് തീര്‍ച്ചയായും അനുകൂലങ്ങളായ ഫലങ്ങള്‍ തന്നെ തരും. ആ സമയത്ത് ആ ഗ്രഹങ്ങലെല്ലാം ഒരല്ലളുടെ രാശിചക്രത്തില്‍ പതിനൊന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്ത് നില്‍ക്കുന്നത് പോലെ .. 

ശനിയും ഗുരുവും ചൊവ്വയും അടക്കം ഒരു ഗ്രഹവും ഭഗവാന്‍ ഏകാദശിയില്‍ കുടികൊള്ളുമ്പോള്‍ നമുക്ക് ദോഷം ചെയ്യാന്‍ ശക്തരാവില്ല . (ഏകാദശി ദിവസം ഭഗവാനെ ഭജിച്ചു നോമ്പ് നോല്‍ക്കുന്നവനെ ബാധിക്കാന്‍ ഒരു ഗ്രഹത്തിനും സാധ്യമല്ല എന്നര്‍ത്ഥം )

കൃഷ്ണ പക്ഷത്തിലെയും ശുക്ല പക്ഷത്തിലെയും പതിനൊന്നാമത്തെ തിഥി അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ദിവസമാണ് ഏകാദശി. ആ ദിവസം ഭഗവാന്‍ കൃഷ്ണനാല്‍ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടതാണെന്ന് ശാസ്ത്രം പറയുന്നു.

“ഏകാദശ” എന്ന വാക്കിനു അനുകൂലമായ ഭാവത്തോടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നവന്‍ എന്നും അര്‍ത്ഥം ഉണ്ട്. അതായത്, ഭഗവാന്‍ നമുക്ക് അനുകൂലത്തോടെ വര്‍ത്തിക്കുമ്പോള്‍, അദ്ദേഹം തന്നെ നമ്മെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കാന്‍ തയാറായി നില്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍, വിധിയും, മറ്റു ഗ്രഹങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അനുസരിക്കുക തന്നെ വേണമല്ലോ
