अर्थातुराणाम् न गुरुर् न बन्धुः कामातुराणाम्  न भयं न लज्जा।
विद्यातुराणाम् न सुखम् न निद्रा क्षुधातुराणाम् न रुचिर् न वेळा॥
सूक्तिसुधाकरं
arthāturāṇām na gurur na bandhuḥ kāmāturāṇām  na bhayaṁ na lajjā|
vidyāturāṇām na sukham na nidrā kṣudhāturāṇām na rucir na veḻā||
sūktisudhākaraṁ
അര്‍ത്ഥാതുരാണാം ന ഗുരുര്‍ ന ബന്ധു കാമാതുരാനാം ന ഭയം ന ലജ്ജാ
വിദ്യാതുരാനാം ന സുഖം ന നിദ്രാ ക്ഷുധാതുരാനാം ന രുചിര്‍ ന വേളാ
സൂക്തിസുധാകരം
for people whose sole aim is to amass wealth, the preceptors or relatives are of no consequence.
Those who are overcome by lust simply lose all sense of shame and caution and they have  no fear. 
People whose aim is to acquire knowledge simply give up  all comforts including  even sleep. 
And hungry men just want food and the  do not care about neither taste nor the time for eating..

friendship of the noble

कल्पद्रुमः कल्पितमेव सूते
स कामधुक्कामितमेव दोग्धि।
चिन्तमणिश्चिन्तितमेव दत्ते
सतां हि सङ्गः सकलम् प्रसूते॥
सूक्तिसुधाकर सतसङ्गसूक्ति गीता मुद्रणालयेन प्रकाशितं
kalpadrumaḥ kalpitameva sūte
sa kāmadhukkāmitameva dogdhi|
cintamaṇiścintitameva datte
satāṁ hi saṅgaḥ sakalam prasūte||
sūktisudhākara satasaṅgasūkti gītā mudraṇālayena prakāśitaṁ
കല്പദ്രുമ ; കല്പിതമേവ സൂതേ
സാ കാമാധുക് കാമിതമേവാ ദോഗ്ധി
ചിന്താമണി: ചിന്തിതമേവ ദത്തെ
സതാം ഹി സംഗ; സകലം പ്രസൂതെ
They say there is a tree called kalpadruma, which yields whatever you wish, This tree will give you whatever you set your mind upon. The divine cow Kaamadhenu will provide you again what all that you yearned for. The divine stone chintamani ( like syamanthaka) will give you only what your have asked after applying your mind. But the friendship and eternal company with noble people will bring unto you all that is good in the world even without asking.
