Mother Yashoda is churning curd in a big pot pulling a string tied to the churning rod. The child Krishna watches her and finds that she is indeed tired in her work.
He tells Yashodha with affection and concern..
“ Amma, you are tired, I shall now do the churning..”
Saying so, he grabs the rope tying the churning rod, all set to pull it and continue the churning.
Seeing this many witnessed of the Churning of the Milky ocean are reminded of the glorious episode.
Vasuki, the serpent who deputed as the rope tied around Mandara mountain during the churning of Milky ocean remembers the pain and misery he suffered and is looking at the boy Krishna with a sad face.
Mother Lakshmi who too was born from the Milky ocean and became the darling of the Lord, is irritated by the affection shown by Krishna to Yashoda and watches on with a lot of jealousy.
The gods who remember the happy occasion of gaining the Ambrosia or Amrutam are jubilant.
The shadow planet, the demon Rahu, who got his body cut into two by the Lord in the guise of Mohini during the churning of Milky ocean, remembers the trauma and is looking on in great fear.
The poet here wishes that that sweet, affectionate Krishna, who is the provider of wealth and welfare for all , that child born in the abode of the leader of cowherds Nanda, may protect you.
