No prayers, no entreaties, no bribes, no inducements can either persuade or enable even the controller of death.. to change his law and rules thereon..
No condonations, no remissions, no setting asides, no review petitions, and above all no Mercy petitions..
All one can pray is to have a wee bit of dignity even on the face of the final departure..
That dignity can be a boon from God,
that dignity can be a gift from friends and relatives and the society and large..
However, the major part of that dignity has to be acquired, collected, gathered and rehearsed by the individual who is going to be the hero of the coffin on the D Day..
We need not celebrate death..
But we have to respect death
Respect its solemnity.
