In the age of Kali, things just resemble truth, but are not really true,

धर्मश्च लोकदंभार्थं पाषाण्डार्थं तपस्विनः ।

विविधा वाग्वंचनार्थं कलौ सत्यानुसारिणी ॥

– बृहत् पराशर स्मृति

dharmaśca lokadaṃbhārthaṃ pāṣāṇḍārthaṃ tapasvinaḥ ।

vividhā vāgvaṃcanārthaṃ kalau satyānusāriṇī ॥

– bṛhat parāśara smṛti

In the age of Kali, things just resemble truth, but are not really true, and are never genuine. The words are high sounding and vivid but are deceitful. People show off as if they are following the path of righteousness, but that is only externally and not genuinely, but just to give a show to the world. People pose as great sages with a lot of penance, but in reality they spread heretism and strife. The words, that sound very truthful are mostly insincere and are meant to deceive the listeners.

This is the situation in Kaliyuga, as per Brihat Parashara Smriti.

लोक दम्भार्थं just to convince people without genuine sincerity, just to show off धर्मः virtuousness तपस्विनः engaging, or pretentding to be engaged in penance, austeritiesपाषण्डार्थं to spread heretism, to spread lack of respect to the righteous path, to show lack of interest in the moral way विविधाः वाक् devious, various words वञ्चनार्थं to cheat, to deceive च also कलौ in the age of Kali सत्यानुसारिणी resembling truth, but not really true भवति happens

വിവിധാ വാഗ്വംചനാര്‍ത്ഥം കലൌ സത്യാനുസാരിണീ ॥

പരാശരസ്മൃതിയില്‍ കലികാലത്തിന്‍റെ തിക്തഫലങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ശ്ലോകമാണിത്.

കലിയുഗത്തില്‍ സത്യം ധര്‍മ്മം എന്നൊക്കെ മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് തോന്നുന്ന വിധം അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന, സത്യമാണെന്ന് തെറ്റിദ്ധരിക്കാന്‍ പാകത്തിലുള്ള പല കാര്യങ്ങളും യഥാര്‍ത്ഥത്തില്‍ സത്യത്തോട് ഒരു ബന്ധവും ഇല്ലാത്ത സംഗതികള്‍ ആയിരിക്കും. ആകര്‍ഷണീയങ്ങളും ആലങ്കാരികത നിറഞ്ഞതുമായ വാക്കുകള്‍ ഒത്തിരി പ്രയോഗിക്കപ്പെടുമെങ്കിലും മിക്കവാറും എല്ലായിപ്പോഴും അവയ്ക്ക് പിന്നില്‍ ചതിയും വഞ്ചനയും ഒളിഞ്ഞു നില്‍ക്കുന്നുണ്ടാവും. മനുഷ്യര്‍ നന്മയുടെയും ചാരിത്രശുദ്ധിയുടെയും വിളനിലങ്ങളെപോലെ അഭിനയിക്കും, തങ്ങളുടെ ഇല്ലാത്ത ആഭിജാത്യം ഉണ്ടെന്ന് കാട്ടിക്കൂട്ടും പക്ഷെ ഈ അഭിനയം തൊലിപ്പുറത്ത് മാത്രമായിരിക്കും. യോഗികളും ആസ്തികരും തപസ്വികളും ആയി രൂപത്തിലും ഭാവത്തിലും മറ്റുള്ളവരെ തെറ്റിദ്ധരിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്‌ ചിലര്‍ നാസ്തികതയും അരാജകത്വവും മൂല്യരാഹിത്യവും പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കും. സാഹോദര്യത്തിന് പകരം സമൂഹത്തില്‍ സ്പര്‍ദ്ധ വളര്‍ത്തും. കലിയുഗത്തില്‍ വളരെ ആത്മാര്‍ഥത നിറഞ്ഞതായി തോന്നുന്ന പലേ വാക്കുകളും കേള്‍ക്കുന്നവരെ പറ്റിക്കുവാന്‍ വേണ്ടി മാത്രം പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്നവയും പ്രതികൂല ഫലങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയെടുക്കുന്നവയും ആയിരിക്കും.

Maybe.. the stuff like sat chit ananda is claimed to be working inside some sages, god-men, and characters in scriptures and lore..However I am yet to see a person in that stage.. in a genuine way.. stage actors may be there, so too showmen..and those build up spiritual hysteria. but then that is not happiness but big business

of course, with due respects and apologizing for any unintended hurt that my remark might cause, I tend to hold the view the occupants of asylums or those who are fit for such abodes, can have such happiness without cause or reason .. and it can be termed as sort of hallucination too.

Wherever Rama is living, even if it is just forest, that place becomes a well established welfare state.

तद्वनं भविता राष्ट्रं यत्र रामो निवस्यति॥

tadvanaṁ bhavitā rāṣṭraṁ yatra rāmo nivasyati||

Sage Vasishta, the preceptor of the Solar dynasty crisply sums up the greatness of Rama

Without Rama as king, a piece of land, a region or landcaspe occupied by people would not become a well established,well administered Nation State.

Wherever Rama is living, even if it is just forest, that place becomes a well established welfare state.

Here, the word Rama cannot be considered merely to denote a human being or even a divinity. In fact the Indian mind just discovered the quintessence of welfare state and just administration in the name and symbol of Rama. The fundamental measure for just administration is just what Rama did.

So Rama is the symbol for Indians.. the ultimate symbol that represents all that is great and sublime.

May that Divine being lead us in the path of righteousness and goodwill for ever

यत्र where रामः Rama भूपतिः the master and controller of the land न भवति is not तद् that entity, that place राष्ट्रं a well established state, kingdom land न भविता would never be यत्र where रामो Rama निवस्यति stays, is present तद that वनं forest अपि too राष्ट्रं भविता becomes a welfare state, a well ruled nation.

തദ്വനം ഭവിതാ രാഷ്ട്രം യത്ര രാമോ നിവസ്യതി॥

ശ്രീരാമനെക്കുറിച്ച് സൂര്യവംശത്തിന്‍റെ കുലഗുരുവായ വസിഷ്ഠമഹര്‍ഷിയുടെ വിലയിരുത്തല്‍ അന്ന് ഇത്

ഒരു രാജ്യം, ഒരു ഭൂപ്രദേശം അത് എത്ര വിലയെരിയതായാലും സമൃദ്ധം ആയാലും അത് ഭരിക്കുവാന്‍, അവിടത്തെ ജനതയെ നയിക്കുവാന്‍ രാമന്‍ ഇല്ല എങ്കില്‍ അത് ഒരു രാഷ്ട്രം, നീതിയോടെ ഭരിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ഭൂവിഭാഗം ആവുകയില്ല, ഒരിക്കലും

രാമന്‍ എവിടെ താമസിക്കുന്നുവോ, അത് കൊടും കാടായാല്‍പ്പോലും രാമന്‍റെ പ്രഭാവം കൊണ്ട് സമൃദ്ധമായ രാഷ്ട്രമായി മാറുന്നു.

ഇവിടെ രാമന്‍ എന്ന വാക്ക് ഒരു വ്യക്തിയെയോ ദേവതയെയോ മാത്രം കുറിക്കുന്ന തായി കുറച്ചു കാണരുത്. മഹത്തായി ഭാരതീയന്‍ കണ്ടതും ആശിച്ചതും എല്ലാം ഒരു വ്യക്തിയുടെ രൂപത്തില്‍ ഉടലെടുത്ത സങ്കേതം ആണ് ശ്രീ രാമന്‍. ഭാരതത്തിന്റെ നന്മയുടെ ആകത്തുക

നമുക്ക് രാമനെക്കുറിച്ച് ചിന്തിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നന്മയും നീതിയും മാത്രമെ മനസ്സില്‍ വരികയുള്ളൂ.

ആ വെളിച്ചം നമ്മെ നയിക്കട്ടെ.

I choose in the name of Krishna to just close all accounts of misunderstandings, ego-clashes and enmities with each and every one with whom I had directly or indirectly indulged in verbal or mental or emotional fights.

I pray Krishna that He will not give me a chance to draw up a new list or to increase the number day by day.

I pray Krishna that He will make it etched on my stubborn psyche that in this short lifespan, the fights and clashes are only of comic value, too trifle...

But I am also praying Krishna to keep me sensible to forget the fights, but never to compel me to mend fences..
