श्रीमद भाग्वताख्योयं प्रत्यक्ष कृष्ण एव हि स्वीकृतोसि मया नाथ मुक्त्यर्थं भवसागरे
(padmapuranam utharakhandam bhagavatha maahatmyam 6--30)
"this Purana named Bhagavatham is nothing other that Krishna Himself (manifesting as a book) My Master Krishna, I am accepting you you as the one who can emancipate me from the ocean of worldly woes.".
ശ്രീമദ്ഭാഗവതാഖ്യോ അയം പ്രത്യക്ഷ കൃഷണ ഏവ ഹി സ്വീകൃതോസി മയാ നാഥ മുക്ത്യര്ത്ഥം ഭവസാഗരെ
(പദ്മപുരാണത്തില് ഉത്തരഖന്ധം ഭാഗവത മാഹാത്മ്യത്തില് ആറാം അധ്യായത്തില് ശ്ലോകം മുപ്പതു.. )
"ഭാഗവതം എന്ന പേരുള്ള ഈ (പുരാണം) പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി നില്ക്കുന്ന കൃഷ്ണന് അല്ലാതെ മറ്റ് ഒന്നുമല്ല.
ഭഗവാനെ എന്റെ നാഥ ഞാന് അങ്ങയെ അപ്രകാരം സ്വീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു -- ജീവിതവിഷമങ്ങളുടെ കടലില് ഉഴലുന്ന ഞാന് മുക്തി നേടാന് വേണ്ടി
