श्री सुब्रह्मण्य भुजङ्गम्
सदा बालरूपाऽपि विघ्नाद्रिहन्त्री महादन्तिवक्त्राऽपि पञ्चास्यमान्या
विधीन्द्रादिमृग्या गणेशाभिधा मे विधत्तां श्रियं काऽपि कल्याणमूर्तिः॥ १॥
സദാ ബാലരൂപാഽപി വിഘ്നാദ്രിഹന്ത്രീ മഹാദന്തിവക്ത്രാഽപി പഞ്ചാസ്യമാന്യാ
വിധീന്ദ്രാദിമൃഗ്യാ ഗണേശാഭിധാ മേ വിധത്താം ശ്രിയം കാഽപി കല്യാണമൂര്‍ത്തിഃ|| ൧||
May that Glorious Divinity which has the name Ganesha bestow on us all wealth and welfare..
That Divine form.. though looking like just a child is capable of shattering huge mountains of difficulties for the devotees.
That Divine form though having the face of a huge elephant is viewed with awe and respect by the natural enemy and adversary, the lion
That Divine form which is sought after with great respect by Lords Brahma and Indra and other deities and gods too.
( Panchasya.. means Shiva.. Himself with the five Heads. Sadyojatham, Vamadevam, Eashaanam, Tatpurusham and Aghoram.. So panchasyamaanya.. could mean the divine form which is given great affection by Lord Shiva Himself.. Ganehse is also the ultimate in Knowledge.. Panchasya is also an epithet for scholars.. so it could mean that Ganesha is respected by all the learned people too..)
the contrast is more important..
He is just a boy, but he will shatter a mountain..
Baala indicates infant.. not grown and stron.. but the mountain is old and sturdy.. and the lord in infant form can shatter the tough mountain
Mahaadanti vaktra means having the face or a big elephant.. And elephant is always an enemy of a lion..
Her panchaasya means a lion.. Even though He is elephant faced, he is respected by a lion.. Panchaasya has the meaning of Shiva also.. so it implies the affection of lord Shiva too .. but that is secondary..
vidhi.. brahmadeva.
Indra lord Indra the king of the gods..
Vidheendraadhimrigyaa.. vidhi indra aadhibhiH mrigyaa.. sought after by the greats like Brahma and Indra..
Ganesha abhidhaa.. having the name of ganesha..
ശക്തി കുറഞ്ഞ ഒരു ബാലന്‍റെ രൂപമാണെങ്കിലും വിഘ്നങ്ങളുടെ വലിയ പര്‍വതങ്ങളെപ്പോലും തകര്‍ക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുന്ന വമ്പന്‍
ആനയുടെ മുഖമാണ് എങ്കിലും സ്ഥിരം ശത്രുവായ സിംഹത്താല്‍ പോലും ബഹുമാനിക്കപ്പെടുന്നയാള്‍
ബ്രഹ്മാവ്‌ ഇന്ദ്രന്‍ എന്നിവരാല്‍ എപ്പോഴും തേടപ്പെടുന്ന
ഗണേശന്‍ എന്ന പേരുള്ള ഒരു മംഗള രൂപമുള്ള വസ്തു നമുക്ക് സമ്പത്തുകള്‍ നല്‍കട്ടെ..
കുറിപ്പ്
പഞ്ചാസ്യന്‍ എന്ന വാക്കിന്നു ശിവന്‍ എന്നും അര്‍ത്ഥമുണ്ട്.. സദ്യോജാതം, വാമദേവം ഈശാനം തത്പുരുഷം, അഘോരം എന്നീ അഞ്ചു മുഖങ്ങള്‍
പണ്ഡിതന്‍ എന്ന അര്‍ത്ഥത്തിലും പഞ്ചാനനന്‍ പഞ്ചാസ്യന്‍ എന്നൊക്കെ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു
ഈ പ്രാര്‍ഥനയില്‍ ആചാര്യസ്വാമികള്‍ ഗണേശന്‍റെ നിഷ്കളങ്കവും എളിയതും ആയ രൂപവും അതേ സമയം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്‍റെ അളവില്ലാത്ത ശക്തിയും തമ്മില്‍ താരതമ്യം ചെയ്യുകയാണ്.
न जानामि शब्दं न जानामि चार्थं न जानामि पद्यं न जानामि गद्यम्।
चिदेका षडास्या हृदि द्योतते मे मुखान्निःसरन्ते गिरश्चापि चित्रम्॥ २॥
ന ജാനാമി ശബ്ദം ന ജാനാമി ചാര്‍ത്ഥം ന ജാനാമി പദ്യം ന ജാനാമി ഗദ്യം|
ചിദേകാ ഷഡാസ്യാ ഹൃദി ദ്യോതതേ മേ മുഖാന്നിഃസരന്തേ ഗിരശ്ചാപി ചിത്രം|| ൨||
I do not have any knowledge in the science of sound, I do not have the erudition to interpret the meanings, I have no clue about creation of metrical verse nor of prose of class. But see how strange it is..the Supreme One of Six Faces manifests itself in my heart and wonederful words flow from my lips sponaneously
ശബ്ദങ്ങളുടെ ഘടനയെക്കുറിച്ച് ഈയുള്ളവന് വ്യുല്‍പത്തി ഇല്ല. പറയുന്ന വാക്കുകളുടെ അര്‍ത്ഥം ഒട്ടും പിടിയില്ല. ലക്ഷണമൊത്ത കവിതയോ ഗാംഭീര്യം തുടിയ്ക്കുന്ന ഗദ്യമോ രചിയ്ക്കുവാന്‍ അറിയില്ല പാവമായ എനിക്ക്. പക്ഷെ ആറു മുഖവുമായി തിളങ്ങുന്ന പരംപൊരുള്‍ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍തിളങ്ങിനില്‍ക്കുന്നു-- കാണൂ ഈ അത്ഭുതം...സുന്ദരമായ വാക്കുകള്‍ എന്റെ മുഖത്തില്‍ നിന്നും അനര്‍ഗ്ഗളമായി പ്രവഹിയ്ക്കുന്നു
मयूराधिरूढं महावाक्यगूढं मनोहारिदेहं महच्चित्रगेहम्।
महीदेवदेवं महादेवभावं महादेवबालं भजे लोकपालम्॥ 3

I humbly offer my worship to You,Skanda,who is ceremonially seated on a peacock, whose inner secrets coild be comprehended through the Mahavakyas of Vedas who is shining with an attractive body, who is residing in a huge ornamental abode, who is the lord of all monarchs, who is the exact replica of Mahadeva,who is theprotector of the universe and who is the beloved son of Lord Shankara
ഭഗവാനെ സ്കന്ദ, അവിടുത്തേയ്ക്ക് വന്ദനം. അലങ്കാരത്തോടെ മയില്‍ വാഹനത്തില്‍ എഴുന്നരുളുന്ന, രഹസ്യങ്ങളായ വേദ മഹാവാക്യങ്ങളിലൂടെ മാത്രം അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന, അതീവ സുന്ദരമായ തിരുമേനിയഴകുള്ള, അഴകാര്‍ന്ന കൂറ്റന്‍ മന്ദിരത്തില്‍ വിരാജിക്കുന്ന, ഭൂമിയിലെ രാജാക്കന്മാര്‍ക്കെല്ലാം രാജാവായ, മഹാദേവന്‍റെ തനി സ്വരൂപനായ, പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിനു മുഴുവന്‍ രക്ഷകനായ, ശങ്കരന്‍റെ പ്രിയപുത്രനായ ദൈവീകതയാണ് നിന്തിരുവടി
यदा सन्निधानं गता मानवा मे भवाम्भोधिपारं गतास्ते तदैव।
इति व्यञ्जयन्सिन्धुतीरे य आस्ते तमीडे पवित्रं पराशक्तिपुत्रम्॥ ४
യദാ സന്നിധാനം ഗതാ മാനവാ മേ ഭവാംഭോധിപാരം ഗതാസ്തേ തദൈവ| ഇതി വ്യഞ്ജയന്‍ സിന്ധുതീരേ യ ആസ്തേ തമീഡേ പവിത്രം പരാശക്തിപുത്രം|| ൪
“The moment men arrive in front of my Shrine (Tiruchendur), they have already crossed and overcome the ocean of all their worldy woes”—announcing this fact in no uncertain terms, that son of Parashakthi, the embodiment of purity, is standing right on the seashore. My humble worship for Him.
“തിരുച്ചെന്തൂരില്‍ എന്റെ സന്നിധാനത്തില്‍ എത്തിച്ചേര്‍ന്ന മനുഷ്യര്‍ ആ നിമിഷം തന്നെ തങ്ങളുടെ സംസാരമാകുന്ന കടല്‍ നീന്തിക്കടന്ന് കരപറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന് സംശയലേശമന്യേ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുവാന്‍ എന്നവണ്ണം കടല്‍ത്തീരത്ത് തന്നെ കാത്തു നില്‍ക്കുന്ന പവിത്രനായ, പരാശക്തിയായ ഉമാപാര്‍വതിയുടെ പൊന്നോമനപ്പുത്രനായ സ്കന്ദനെ ഭജിക്കട്ടെ
यथाब्धेः तरङ्गाः लयं यान्ति तुङ्गाः तथैवापदः सन्निधौ सेवतां मे।
इतीव ऊर्मिपङ्क्तीः नृणां दर्शयन्तं सदा भावये हृत्सरोजे गुहं तम्॥5
യഥാബ്ധേഃ തരംഗാഃ ലയം യാന്തി തുംഗാഃ തഥൈവാപദഃ സന്നിധൗ സേവതാം മേ|
ഇതീവ ഊര്‍മിപംക്തീഃ നൃണാം ദര്‍ശയന്തം സദാ ഭാവയേ ഹൃത്സരോജേ ഗുഹം തം||
The huge waves that gather and run riot in the ocean just reache the shores and die down depositing mere whit foams. In the same way the troubles and tribulations of devotees who gather inside your abode too get complete relief as the sorrows die down into nothingness. Your control over the waves touching your shrine convey the right message.
കടലില്‍ ഇളകിമറിഞ്ഞു സംഹാരതാണ്ഡവം നടത്തുന്ന അലമാലകള്‍ വെറും വെളുത്ത പത മാത്രമായി തീരത്ത് അടിഞ്ഞു അടങ്ങുന്നത് കണക്കെ ആ തിരുവടിയില്‍ ശരണം തേടി വരുന്നവുടെ ആപത്തുകളും തികച്ചും ഇല്ലാതാവും എന്ന് തെളയിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് തിരകളെ അടക്കി നിര്‍ത്തുന്ന ഗുഹനെ സ്മരിക്കട്ടെ
गिरौ मन्निवासे नरा येऽधिरूढाः तदा पर्वते राजते तेऽधिरूढाः।
इतीव ब्रुवन् गन्धशैलाधिरूढः स देवो मुदे मे सदा षण्मुखोऽस्तु॥ 6
ഗിരൗ മന്നിവാസേ നരാ യേഽധിരൂഢാഃ തദാ പര്‍വതേ രാജതേ തേഽധിരൂഢാഃ| ഇതീവ ബ്രുവന്‍ ഗന്ധശൈലാധിരൂഢഃ സ ദേവൊ മുദേ മേ സദാ ഷണ്മുഖോഽസ്തു||

ഗുഹായാം വസന്തം സ്വഭാസാ ലസന്തം ജനാര്‍ത്തിം ഹരന്തം ശ്രയാമോ ഗുഹം തം||
May we worship with utter devotion that Guha who is residing in the darkness of a cave in the Sugandha Hills {Gandhamadhana), which lies in the shore of imposing South Seas, the abode that steals away the gravest of sins, the place favoured by the best of sages. The Lord is shining forth in his own matchless glow and is ever shattering the woes of all people around.

May I ever meditate with utmost devotion that leader of Divine Beings Karthikeya who resides in a mansion built of pure gold, that showers to the needy devotees all that they yearn for, the Lord who gives audience in state sitting in a throne of Manikya (Ruby) stone the couch bedecked with bunches of fragrant flowers
ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന ഭക്തര്‍ക്ക് ആശിച്ചതെല്ലാം കറന്നു നല്‍കുന്നതിനായി തനിത്തങ്കം കൊണ്ട് നിര്‍മ്മിച്ച മാളികയില്‍ മലരുളാല്‍ അലങ്കരിച്ച മാണിക്യക്കട്ടിലില്‍ ആയിരം ആദിത്യന്മാരെ വെല്ലുന്ന ശോഭയോടെ വിരാജിക്കുന്ന, ദേവന്മാര്‍ക്കെല്ലാം ഉടയോനായ കാര്‍ത്തികേയനെ സ്മരിക്കട്ടെ

താരകാസുരനെ നിഗ്രഹിച്ച ഭഗവാനേ, എന്നും തന്നെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവരോട് തീവ്രമായ അനുരാഗം കാത്തുസൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനേ, വേടപ്പെണ്‍കൊടിയായ വള്ളിയുടെ മാറിടത്തിലെ കുങ്കുമം അവളെ പുണരുമ്പോള്‍ കടുംചുവപ്പു നിറം സ്വയം പകരുന്ന ശരീരത്തോടു കൂടിയ അവിടുത്തെ മാറിടത്തെ ഞാന്‍ വണങ്ങുന്നു

ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന ഭക്തര്‍ക്ക് ആശിച്ചതെല്ലാം കറന്നു നല്‍കുന്നതിനായി തനിത്തങ്കം കൊണ്ട് നിര്‍മ്മിച്ച മാളികയില്‍ മലരുളാല്‍ അലങ്കരിച്ച മാണിക്യക്കട്ടിലില്‍ ആയിരം ആദിത്യന്മാരെ വെല്ലുന്ന ശോഭയോടെ വിരാജിക്കുന്ന, ദേവന്മാര്‍ക്കെല്ലാം ഉടയോനായ കാര്‍ത്തികേയനെ സ്മരിക്കട്ടെ

Skanda, I pay my respects to that pair of very powerful, staff-like arms that delivered right punishment to Brahmadeva , that held aloft the whole galaxy with ease, that vanquished the trunk of an elephant, that worked like the mace of death and decimated the entire group of demons and that are ever alertly protecting the universe.
ഭഗവാനെ സ്കന്ദ, അവിടുത്തെ ദണ്ഡം പോലെ ശക്തിയാര്‍ന്ന കൈകള്‍ക്ക് സദാ വന്ദനം. അവ ബ്രഹ്മാവിന് ശിക്ഷ നിശ്ചയിച്ചു, ലോകത്തെ മുഴുവന്‍ എടുത്തുയര്‍ത്തി,ഒരു കൊമ്പനാനായുടെ തുമ്പിക്കൈ വലിച്ചു കീഴ്പ്പെടുത്തി.ശത്രുക്കള്‍ക്ക് കാലദണ്ഡം ആയി അസുരന്മാരെ കൊന്നൊടുക്കി, അതേ സമയം ലോകത്തെ മുഴുവന്‍ സംരക്ഷിക്കാനായി ജാഗരൂകരായിരിക്കുന്നു
सदा शारदाः षण्मृगाङ्का यदि स्युः समुद्यन्त एव स्थिताश्चेत्समन्तात्।
सदा पूर्णबिम्बाः कलङ्कैश्च हीनाः तदा त्वन्मुखानां ब्रुवे स्कन्द साम्यम्॥ 13
സദാ ശാരദാഃ ഷണ്മൃഗാങ്കാ യദി സ്യുഃ
സമുദ്യന്ത എവ സ്ഥിതാശ്ചേത്സമന്താത്|
സദാ പൂര്‍ണ്ണബിംബാഃ കലങ്കൈശ്ച ഹീനാഃ

If six full bright moons of autumn, carrying antelopes on their brilliant faces, rise and shine in all directions and at the same time are without any blemish, then Skanda, that will resemble your beautiful face
ശരത് കാലത്ത്, മാന്‍പേടകളെ മാറില്‍ പേറുന്ന ആറു മുഴുനിലാവുകള്‍ എല്ലാ ദിശകളിലും പ്രകാശം ചൊരിഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് ഉദിച്ചു നില്‍ക്കുകയാണെങ്കില്‍, അത്തരം ആറു ചന്ദ്രബിംബങ്ങള്‍ പൂര്‍ണ്ണങ്ങളായും, കളങ്കം ഒട്ടും ഇല്ലാതെയും കാണുകയാണെങ്കില്‍ അത് ഭഗവാനെ സ്കന്ദ, അവിടുത്തെ ആറു മുഖങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് സമാനം ആയിരിക്കും

തവാലോകയേ ഷണ്മുഖാംഭോരുഹാണി||
Lord Shanmugha, the darling son of Shiva, I am devouring eagerly with my eyes the divine beauty of your full, sensuous, attractive lips-those comely lips that ooze nectar profusely, those lips which are like full blown lotuses that are visited by swans in the shape of broad smiles, that are ever kept bright and active by the beetles that are your rolling side-glances .
പരമേശ്വരന്‍റെ പുത്രനായ ഷണ്മുഖ, ഞാന്‍ തൊണ്ടിപ്പഴം പോലെ അഴകാര്‍ന്ന അവിടുത്തെ ചുണ്ടുകളുടെ ഭംഗി കണ്ണുകളാല്‍ നുകരട്ടെ. ആ ചുണ്ടുകളെ വെളുത്ത പുഞ്ചിരികളായ അരയന്നങ്ങള്‍ ചുറ്റി നടക്കുന്നു. അവിടുത്തെ കടാക്ഷങ്ങളായ വണ്ടുകള്‍ അവ നുകരാന്‍ കൊതിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നു.ആ ചുണ്ടുകള്‍ തേന്‍ പൊഴിക്കുന്നു ,
विशालेषु कर्णान्तदीर्घेष्वजस्रं दयास्यन्दिषु द्वादशस्वीक्षणेषु |
मयीषत्कटाक्षः सकृत्पातितश्चेद् भवेत्ते दयाशील का नाम हानिः॥ 15
വിശാലേഷു കര്‍ണാന്തദീര്‍ഘേഷ്വജസ്രം ദയാസ്യന്ദിഷു ദ്വാദശസ്വീക്ഷണേഷു|
മയീഷത്കടാക്ഷഃ സകൃത്പാതിതശ്ചേദ് ഭവേത്തേ ദയാശീല കാ നാമ ഹാനിഃ||
My master Skanda, your large wide eyes, twelve in all, are so huge that they all reach the ears. They eternally shower compassion for all people around. Tell me, if a slight side-long glance from them falls on me at least a wee bit, can it cause any loss for you?
ഭഗവാനെ സ്കന്ദ, അവിടുത്തെ നീണ്ടു വിടര്‍ന്ന പന്ത്രണ്ടു കണ്ണുകള്‍ ആ ചെവിത്തടം വരെ വ്യാപിച്ചു കിടന്നൂ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും കാരുണ്യം നിറഞ്ഞ അനുഗ്രഹം ചൊരിയുന്നു. നീ തന്നെ പറയൂ, ആ കടാക്ഷത്തില്‍ ഒരു ഇത്തിരി ഭാഗം ഒരിക്കല്‍ എനിക്കും തന്നാല്‍ അത് നിനക്ക് എന്തെങ്കിലും നഷ്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കുമോ?
सुताङ्गोद्भवो मेऽसि जीवेति षड्धा जपन्मन्त्रमीशो मुदा जिघ्रते यान्।
जगद्भारभृद्भ्यो जगन्नाथ तेभ्यः किरीटोज्ज्वलेभ्यो नमो मस्तकेभ्यः॥ 16
സുതാംഗോദ്ഭവോ മേഽസി ജീവേതി ഷഡ്ധാ ജപന്മന്ത്രമീശോ മുദാ ജിഘ്രതേ യാന്‍|
ജഗദ്ഭാരഭൃദ്ഭ്യോ ജഗന്നാഥ തേഭ്യഃകിരീടോജ്ജ്വലേഭ്യോ നമോ മസ്തകേഭ്യഃ||*
“എന്റെ ഓമന മകനേ, എന്റെ ഓരോ ശരീരഭാഗത്തില്‍ നിന്നും അതേപടി അവതരിച്ചവനാണ് നീ, എന്നും നീ ദീര്‍ഘയുസ്സോടെ ജീവിക്കുക” എന്ന മന്ത്രം വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും ആറുവട്ടം ഉരുവിട്ടുകൊണ്ട് ഭഗവാന്‍ ശങ്കരന്‍ വാത്സല്യത്തോടെ മുകരുന്ന, ഈ പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിന്‍റെ ഭാരം മുഴുവന്‍ ചുമക്കുന്ന ജഗന്നാ ഥനായ അങ്ങയുടെ രത്നങ്ങള്‍ പതിച്ച കിരീടങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ട് അലങ്കരിച്ച ആറു ശിരസ്സുകളെ നമിക്കട്ടെ.
“My most beloved son, you have manifested exactly from each part of me, and May you live for eternity”,--chanting this mantram six times repeatedly, Lord Shankara kisses your six heads affectionately. Those six heads of yours, you master of the world carry the whole mass of this universe. I offer my Pranams to those six heads.
स्फुरद्रत्नकेयूरहाराभिरामः चलत्कुण्डलश्रीलसद्गण्डभागः।
कटौ पीतवासाः करे चारुशक्तिः पुरस्तान्ममास्तां पुरारेस्तनूजः॥ 17

കടൗ പീതവാസാഃ കരേ ചാരുശക്തിഃ

May that Skanda, the beloved son of Shankara, the arch-enemy of Tripuras, manifest before me in His resplendent glory, adorning himself with garlands, necklaces and shoulder-braces studded with precious gems, wearing bright yellow silk around His hips, and holding in his hand that attractive and all powerful spear called Shakti (Vel)
ത്രിപുരസംഹാരിയായ പരമേശ്വരന്‍റെ വത്സലപുത്രനായ സ്കന്ദന്‍, തിളങ്ങുന്ന രത്നങ്ങള്‍ പതിച്ച തോള്‍വളകളും ഹാരങ്ങളും ധരിച്ച് സുന്ദരനായി, അരയില്‍ മഞ്ഞനിറമുള്ള പട്ടും അണിഞ്ഞ്, കൈയില്‍ ആകര്‍ഷകമായ ശക്തി എന്ന വേലും ഏന്തി, എന്റെ മുന്നില്‍ വന്നു നിന്ന് അനുഗ്രഹം ചൊരിയട്ടെ.
इहायाहि वत्सेति हस्तान्प्रसार्य आह्वयत्यादराच्छङ्करे मातुरङ्कात्।
समुत्पत्य तातं श्रयन्तं कुमारं हराश्लिष्टगात्रं भजे बालमूर्तिम्॥ 18
ഇഹായാഹി വത്സേതി ഹസ്താന്‍ പ്രസാര്യ ആഹ്വയത്യാദരാച്ഛങ്കരേ മാതുരങ്കാത്|
സമുത്പത്യ താതം ശ്രയന്തം കുമാരം
ഹരാശ്ലിഷ്ടഗാത്രം ഭജേ ബാലമൂര്‍ത്തിം||
May I worship Lord Skanda in the form of a tiny toddler, who jumps suddenly from the cosy lap of His mother Uma Parvathi and springs towards His father Shankara when the father spreads His arms and calls His son, ”My lovely boy, come to Me”—and the affectionate father covers the boy in a deep, intimate embrace.

When all my organs have become inactive, when my senses have taken leave of me, when I have become as still as a log, when my mouth is blocked by phlegm, when I am trembling with fear as I start my journey to the abode of death, having no one to protect me, Oh Compassionate Guha, Muruka, please appear before me without any delay and be with me.
ശരീരഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാം ചലനമറ്റ്, ബോധം ഇല്ലാതായി, ചേതന നശിച്ച്, കഫം കൊണ്ട് അടഞ്ഞ മുഖവും, പേടികൊണ്ട് വിറയ്ക്കുന്ന ശരീരവുമായി യമലോകത്തെയ്ക്ക് പ്രയാണം തുടങ്ങുന്ന, ആരും തുണയില്ലാത്ത എന്റെ മുന്നില്‍ ദയാമൂര്‍ത്തിയായ ഗുഹ, അവിടുന്ന് മുന്നില്‍ എന്റെ കൂടെ നില്‍ക്കണേ.
कृतान्तस्य दूतेषु चण्डेषु कोपाद्दह च्छिन्द्धि भिन्द्धीति मां तर्जयत्सु।
मयूरं समारुह्य मा भैरिति त्वं पुरः शक्तिपाणिर्ममायाहि शीघ्रम्॥ 21
കൃതാന്തസ്യ ദൂതേഷു ചണ്ഡേഷു കോപാദ്ദഹ ഛിന്‍ദ്ധി ഭിന്‍ദ്ധീതി മാം തര്‍ജയത്സു|
മയൂരം സമാരുഹ്യ മാ ഭൈരിതി ത്വം പുരഃ ശക്തിപാണിര്‍മമായാഹി ശീഘ്രം||
When the angry and cruel missives of the god of death charge towards me shouting in utter rage, “burn him, crush him, tear him to shreds”, my master Muruka, please rush towards me, riding your peacock and holding your Shakti (Vel) and uttering the reassuring and sweet words “Do not fear, I am here for you”
ക്രൂരതയുടെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ ഒരു അയവുമില്ലാത്ത യമദൂതന്മാര്‍ “ഇവനെചുട്ടു നീറാക്കുക, പച്ചി ചീന്തുക, ചതച്ച് അരയ്ക്കുക,” എന്നൊക്കെ തീരാത്ത കോപത്തോടെ വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തുമ്പോള്‍ നീ എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ മയില്‍ വാഹനത്തില്‍ ഏറി,വേലും കൈയില്‍ ഏന്തി, “ഒട്ടും പേടിക്കേണ്ട,നിനക്ക് ഞാന്‍ ഉണ്ട്” എന്ന് ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് ഓടി വരണം, മുരുകാ
प्रणम्यासकृत्पादयोस्ते पतित्वा प्रसाद्य प्रभो प्रार्थयेऽनेकवारम्।
न वक्तुं क्षमोऽहं तदानीं कृपाब्धे न कार्यान्तकाले मनागप्युपेक्षा॥ 22
പ്രണമ്യാസകൃത്പാദയൊസ്തേ പതിത്വാ പ്രസാദ്യ പ്രഭോ പ്രാര്‍ഥയേഽനേകവാരം|
ന വക്തും ക്ഷമോഽഹം തദാനീം കൃപാബ്ധേ ന കാര്യാന്തകാലേ മനാഗപ്യുപേക്ഷാ||
My Master Skanda, I am offering Pranams, now itself, innumerable times at Your pair of feet, oh Lord, making my humble entreaties, I praying many times. “Oh, the Ocean of mercy, I would not be in a state of mind and body to present my prayers at the time of my death. Please, please, do not have even a wee bit of negligence in my case for that reason.
എന്റെ നാഥനായ സ്കന്ദ, ഈയുള്ളവന് അവിടുത്തെ തൃപ്പാദങ്ങളില്‍ വീണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ തന്നെ അസംഖ്യം പ്രണാമങ്ങള്‍ അര്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനകളും ആശങ്കകളും എണ്ണിയെണ്ണി ഉണര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നു. “ കാരുണ്യത്തിന്‍റെ കടലാണ് നീ. മരണം എന്നെ വിഴുങ്ങാനെത്തുന്ന അവസരത്തില്‍ നിന്നെ ഓര്‍ക്കുവാനും വിളിക്കുവാനും ഉള്ള ശാരീരികവും മാനസികവും ആയ കെല്‍പ്പ് എനിക്ക് ഉണ്ടാവില്ല. അത് കരുതി നീ എന്നോട് അല്പം പോലും ഉപേക്ഷ കാണിക്കരുത്”
सहस्राण्डभोक्ता त्वया शूरनामा हतस्तारकः सिंहवक्त्रश्च दैत्यः।
ममान्तर्हृदिस्थं मनःक्लेशमेकं न हंसि प्रभो किं करोमि क्व यामि॥ 23
സഹസ്രാണ്ഡഭോക്താ ത്വയാ ശൂരനാമാ ഹതസ്താരകഃ സിംഹവക്ത്രശ്ച ദൈത്യഃ|
മമാന്തര്‍ഹൃദിസ്ഥം മനഃക്ലേശമേകം ന ഹംസി പ്രഭോ കിം കരോമി ക്വ യാമി||
My Master Skanda, You annihilated Shoorapadma the cruel demon who ran riot over thousands of galaxies and killed his brothers and cohorts Taraka and Simhavaktra too. Why are you slack in destroying the demon of mental agony lurking inside me? Where else am I go seeking relief?
സ്കന്ദ, ആയിരം അണ്ഡങ്ങളെയും അടക്കി വാണ ശൂരപത്മന്‍ എന്ന അസുരനും, അവന്‍റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ താരകനും സിംഹവക്ത്രനും എല്ലാം നിന്നാല്‍ നിഗ്രഹിയ്ക്കാപ്പെട്ടു. പക്ഷെ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ ആഴ്ന്നു കിടക്കുന്ന മനോദുഃഖം എന്ന കൊടും പാപിയെ മാത്രം നീ എന്ത് കാരണം കൊണ്ടാണ് വകവരുത്താതിരിക്കുന്നത്? ആശ്രയം തേടി ഞാന്‍ എന്ത് ചെയ്യും? എവിടെ പോകും?
अहं सर्वदा दुःखभारावसन्नो भवान्दीनबन्धुस्त्वदन्यं न याचे।
भवद्भक्तिरोधं सदा कॢप्तबाधं ममाधिं द्रुतं नाशयोमासुत त्वम्॥24
അഹം സര്‍വദാ ദുഃഖഭാരാവസന്നോ ഭവാന്ദീനബന്ധുസ്ത്വദന്യം ന യാചേ|
ഭവദ്ഭക്തിരോധം സദാ ക്ലിപ്തബാധം മമാധിം
ദ്രുതം നാശയോമാസുത ത്വം||
The weight of sorrows and pains are bowing me down and crushing me forever. Such burden of sorrows clamp heavy limitations on me and prevent the flow of unconditional devotion towards you. अपस्मारकुष्ठक्षयार्शः प्रमेहज्वरोन्मादगुल्मादिरोगा महान्तः।
पिशाचाश्च सर्वे भवत्पत्रभूतिं विलोक्य क्षणात्तारकारे द्रवन्ते॥ 25
അപസ്മാരകുഷ്ഠക്ഷയാര്‍ശഃ പ്രമേഹജ്വരോന്മാദഗുല്മാദിരോഗാ മഹാന്തഃ|
പിശാചാശ്ച സര്‍വേ ഭവത്പത്രഭൂതിം വിലോക്യ ക്ഷണാത്താരകാരേ ദ്രവന്തേ||

Skanda, may your glorious form ever manifest in my inner and external vision, may my ears always reverberate with your praises, may my lips ever wax eloquent about your meritrious tidings, may these two hands of mine eternally in your serice, and finally mwy whole body and being are offered in slavery or you..Guha, may all my senses and activities be immersed in you for ever and ever
അകക്കണ്ണിലും പുറക്കണ്ണിലും സ്കന്ദന്‍റെ രൂപം മാത്രം, കേള്‍ക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം അവന്‍റെ പുകഴ് മാത്രം ചുണ്ടുകള്‍ ഉരുവിടുന്നത് അവന്‍റെ പരിശുദ്ധങ്ങളായ അപദാനങ്ങള്‍, കൈ കൊണ്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നതെല്ലാം അവന്നായുള്ള സേവനങ്ങള്‍, ഈ ശരീരം തന്നെ അവനുവേണ്ടി അടിമപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, ഈ വിധത്തില്‍ ഭഗവാനേ ഗുഹ, എന്റെ എല്ലാ ഭാവങ്ങളും നിന്നില്‍ എന്നും ലയിച്ചിരിക്കട്ടെ
मुनीनामुताहो नृणां भक्तिभाजां अभीष्टप्रदाः सन्ति सर्वत्र देवाः।
नृणामन्त्यजानामपि स्वार्थदाने गुहाद्देवमन्यं न जाने न जाने॥ 27
മുനീനാമുതാഹോ നൃണാം ഭക്തിഭാജാം അഭീഷ്ടപ്രദാഃ സന്തി സര്‍വത്ര ദേവാഃ|
നൃണാമന്ത്യജാനാമപി സ്വാര്‍ത്ഥദാനേ ഗുഹാദ്ദേവമന്യം ന ജാനേ ന ജാനേ|| ൨൭||
Everywhere and at all times one can find deities who fulfil the coveted desires of sages who lead prure lives and also men who serve such deitieis with great care and devotion. But I have never come across any divinity other than Skanda the Guha who would fulfil all the deisres including His realization fo people of origin at the lowliest level.
ജ്ഞാനവും തപസ്സും കൃത്യമായി പിന്തുടരുന്ന മുനിമാര്‍ക്കും, പിന്നെ എന്നും ഭക്തിയോടെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യര്‍ക്കും അവര്‍ നിനച്ചതെല്ലാം നടത്തിക്കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഒത്തിരി ദേവന്മാരെ നമുക്ക് കണ്ടുമുട്ടാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്ന് വരാം.. പക്ഷെ ഒട്ടും അറിവും ആഭിജാത്യവും ഇല്ലാത്ത, താഴ്ന്ന നിലയില്‍ ജന്മം ലഭിച്ചവര്‍ക്ക് പോലും എല്ലാ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങളും സാധിപ്പിക്കുക മാത്രമല്ല സായൂജ്യം തന്നെ നല്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവനായി ഗുഹനല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരുവനെയും എനിക്കറിയില്ല
कलत्रं सुता बन्धुवर्गः पशुर्वा नरो वाथ नारि गृहे ये मदीयाः।
यजन्तो नमन्तः स्तुवन्तो भवन्तं स्मरन्तश्च ते सन्तु सर्वे कुमार॥ ॥28
കളത്രം സുതാ ബന്ധുവര്‍ഗഃ പശുര്‍വാ
നരോ വാഥ നാരി ഗൃഹേ യേ മദീയാഃ|
യജന്തോ നമന്തഃ സ്തുവന്തോ ഭവന്തം
സ്മരന്തശ്ച തേ സന്തു സര്‍വേ കുമാര|| ൨൮||

എന്റെ ഭാര്യ, ജീവിതപങ്കാളി, മക്കള്‍, അടുത്ത ബന്ധുക്കള്‍, എന്റെ വളര്‍ത്തുമൃഗങ്ങള്‍, എന്റെ വീട്ടില്‍ വസിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ സ്ത്രീ പുരുഷന്മാരും-- ഇവരെല്ലാം ഭഗവാനെ സ്കന്ദ,കുമാര, അവിടുത്തുങ്കല്‍ ഭക്തി ഉള്ളവരും അങ്ങയെ പൂജിക്കുന്നവരും,സ്മരിക്കുന്നവരും സ്ടുതിക്കുന്നവരും അങ്ങേയ്ക്ക് കാണിക്കകള്‍ അര്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നവരും ഒക്കെ ആയി എന്നും തുടരട്ടെ
मृगाः पक्षिणो दंशका ये च दुष्टाः तथा व्याधयो बाधका ये मदङ्गे।
भवच्छक्तितीक्ष्णाग्रभिन्नाः सुदूरे विनश्यन्तु ते चूर्णितक्रौञ्जशैल॥ 29
മൃഗാഃ പക്ഷിണോ ദംശകാ യേ ച ദുഷ്ടാഃ തഥാ വ്യാധയോ ബാധകാ യേ മദംഗേ|
ഭവച്ഛക്തിതീക്ഷ്ണാഗ്രഭിന്നാഃ സുദൂരേ വിനശ്യന്തു തേ ചൂര്‍ണ്ണിതക്രൗഞ്ജശൈല|| ൨൯||
Some animals, beasts,insects and birds usually cause disturbace and harm to me thrugh their inherent evil nature. Diseases too afflict me. May all those afflictions be pierced and shattered by your all-powerful spear Vel well before such harmful effects reach anywhere near me, Oh Skanda,the shatterer of Krauncha Mountain
ചില മൃഗങ്ങളും, പക്ഷികളും, കീടങ്ങളും അവയുടെ ദുഷ്ടത നിറഞ്ഞ പ്രവൃത്തികള്‍ എന്നില്‍ പ്രയോഗിക്കാം. അതുപോലെ കടുത്ത വ്യാധികളും എന്നെ ബാധിക്കാന്‍ കാത്തുകെട്ടി നില്‍ക്കുന്നുണ്ട്, ആ ബാധകള്‍ എന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ ഒരിക്കലും എത്താത്ത വിധം ഏറെ ദൂരേവച്ചു തന്നെ സ്കന്ദ, ക്രൗഞ്ചഗിരിയെ തരിപ്പണം ആക്കിയ അവിടുത്തെ വേല്‍ മുന കൊണ്ട് കുത്തിക്കീറി തകര്‍ക്കേണമേ.
जनित्री पिता च स्वपुत्रापराधं सहेते न किं देवसेनाधिनाथ।
अहं चातिबालो भवान् लोकतातः क्षमस्वापराधं समस्तं महेश॥ ३०॥
ജനിത്രീ പിതാ ച സ്വപുത്രാപരാധം സഹേതേ ന കിം ദേവസേനാധിനാഥ|
അഹം ചാതിബാലോ ഭവാന്‍ ലോകതാതഃ ക്ഷമസ്വാപരാധം സമസ്തം മഹേശ|| ൩൦||

വിശാലേഷു കര്‍ണാന്തദീര്‍ഘേഷ്വജസ്രം ദയാസ്യന്ദിഷു ദ്വാദശസ്വീക്ഷണേഷു|
മയീഷത്കടാക്ഷഃ സകൃത്പാതിതശ്ചേദ് ഭവേത്തേ ദയാശീല കാ നാമ ഹാനിഃ||
My master Skanda, your large wide eyes, twelve in all, are so huge that they all reach the ears. They eternally shower compassion for all people around. Tell me, if a slight side-long glance from them falls on me at least a wee bit, can it cause any loss for you?
ഭഗവാനെ സ്കന്ദ, അവിടുത്തെ നീണ്ടു വിടര്‍ന്ന പന്ത്രണ്ടു കണ്ണുകള്‍ ആ ചെവിത്തടം വരെ വ്യാപിച്ചു കിടന്നൂ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും കാരുണ്യം നിറഞ്ഞ അനുഗ്രഹം ചൊരിയുന്നു. നീ തന്നെ പറയൂ, ആ കടാക്ഷത്തില്‍ ഒരു ഇത്തിരി ഭാഗം ഒരിക്കല്‍ എനിക്കും തന്നാല്‍ അത് നിനക്ക് എന്തെങ്കിലും നഷ്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കുമോ?
सुताङ्गोद्भवो मेऽसि जीवेति षड्धा जपन्मन्त्रमीशो मुदा जिघ्रते यान्।
जगद्भारभृद्भ्यो जगन्नाथ तेभ्यः किरीटोज्ज्वलेभ्यो नमो मस्तकेभ्यः॥ 16
സുതാംഗോദ്ഭവോ മേഽസി ജീവേതി ഷഡ്ധാ ജപന്മന്ത്രമീശോ മുദാ ജിഘ്രതേ യാന്‍|
ജഗദ്ഭാരഭൃദ്ഭ്യോ ജഗന്നാഥ തേഭ്യഃകിരീടോജ്ജ്വലേഭ്യോ നമോ മസ്തകേഭ്യഃ||*
“എന്റെ ഓമന മകനേ, എന്റെ ഓരോ ശരീരഭാഗത്തില്‍ നിന്നും അതേപടി അവതരിച്ചവനാണ് നീ, എന്നും നീ ദീര്‍ഘയുസ്സോടെ ജീവിക്കുക” എന്ന മന്ത്രം വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും ആറുവട്ടം ഉരുവിട്ടുകൊണ്ട് ഭഗവാന്‍ ശങ്കരന്‍ വാത്സല്യത്തോടെ മുകരുന്ന, ഈ പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിന്‍റെ ഭാരം മുഴുവന്‍ ചുമക്കുന്ന ജഗന്നാ ഥനായ അങ്ങയുടെ രത്നങ്ങള്‍ പതിച്ച കിരീടങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ട് അലങ്കരിച്ച ആറു ശിരസ്സുകളെ നമിക്കട്ടെ.
“My most beloved son, you have manifested exactly from each part of me, and May you live for eternity”,--chanting this mantram six times repeatedly, Lord Shankara kisses your six heads affectionately. Those six heads of yours, you master of the world carry the whole mass of this universe. I offer my Pranams to those six heads.
स्फुरद्रत्नकेयूरहाराभिरामः चलत्कुण्डलश्रीलसद्गण्डभागः।
कटौ पीतवासाः करे चारुशक्तिः पुरस्तान्ममास्तां पुरारेस्तनूजः॥ 17

May that Skanda, the beloved son of Shankara, the arch-enemy of Tripuras, manifest before me in His resplendent glory, adorning himself with garlands, necklaces and shoulder-braces studded with precious gems, wearing bright yellow silk around His hips, and holding in his hand that attractive and all powerful spear called Shakti (Vel)
ത്രിപുരസംഹാരിയായ പരമേശ്വരന്‍റെ വത്സലപുത്രനായ സ്കന്ദന്‍, തിളങ്ങുന്ന രത്നങ്ങള്‍ പതിച്ച തോള്‍വളകളും ഹാരങ്ങളും ധരിച്ച് സുന്ദരനായി, അരയില്‍ മഞ്ഞനിറമുള്ള പട്ടും അണിഞ്ഞ്, കൈയില്‍ ആകര്‍ഷകമായ ശക്തി എന്ന വേലും ഏന്തി, എന്റെ മുന്നില്‍ വന്നു നിന്ന് അനുഗ്രഹം ചൊരിയട്ടെ.
इहायाहि वत्सेति हस्तान्प्रसार्य आह्वयत्यादराच्छङ्करे मातुरङ्कात्।
समुत्पत्य तातं श्रयन्तं कुमारं हराश्लिष्टगात्रं भजे बालमूर्तिम्॥ 18
ഇഹായാഹി വത്സേതി ഹസ്താന്‍ പ്രസാര്യ ആഹ്വയത്യാദരാച്ഛങ്കരേ മാതുരങ്കാത്|
സമുത്പത്യ താതം ശ്രയന്തം കുമാരം
ഹരാശ്ലിഷ്ടഗാത്രം ഭജേ ബാലമൂര്‍ത്തിം||
May I worship Lord Skanda in the form of a tiny toddler, who jumps suddenly from the cosy lap of His mother Uma Parvathi and springs towards His father Shankara when the father spreads His arms and calls His son, ”My lovely boy, come to Me”—and the affectionate father covers the boy in a deep, intimate embrace.
പിഞ്ചു പൈതലായി ദര്‍ശനം നല്‍കുന്ന സ്കന്ദനെ ഭജിക്കട്ടെ. മാതാവായ ഉമാ പാര്‍വതിയുടെ മടിയില്‍ സുഖമായി ഇരിക്കുന്നേരം പെട്ടെന്ന് പിതാവായ ശങ്കരന്‍ “എന്റെ മോനെ, അടുത്ത് വരൂ” എന്ന് കൈനീട്ടി വിളിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അമ്മയുടെ മടിയില്‍ നിന്ന് കുതിച്ചിറങ്ങി ലോകനാഥനായ പിതാവിന്‍റെ സ്നേഹം നിറഞ്ഞ ആശ്ലേഷത്തില്‍ അമര്‍ന്ന് അവന്‍ നിര്‍വൃതി കൊള്ളുന്നു
कुमारेशसूनो गुह स्कन्द सेनापते शक्तिपाणे मयूराधिरूढ।
पुलिन्दात्मजाकान्त भक्तार्तिहारिन् प्रभो तारकारे सदा रक्ष मां त्वम्॥ 19

പുളിന്ദാത്മജാകാന്ത ഭക്താര്‍തിഹാരിന്‍ പ്രഭോ താരകാരേ സദാ രക്ഷ മാം ത്വം||
My Master Kumara, Guha’ Skanda, the young and ebullient one, the son of Isha the Shankara, the commander of the army of gods, the wielder of Shakti, the one who sits atop a peacock, the beloved master of the daughter of hunter Valli, you, the one who heals the woes of devotees, the most powerful one who subjugated the demon Taraka, please protect me ever.
എന്റെ ഉടയോനെ ,കുമാര, ഗുഹ, സ്കന്ദ, ഈശപുത്ര, ദേവസേനാ നായക, വേലായുധ, മയില്‍വാഹന, വേടന്‍റെ മകളായ വള്ളിയുടെ പ്രാണനാഥ, ഭക്തന്മാരുടെ കഷ്ടങ്ങളും ദുഃഖങ്ങളും അകറ്റുന്നവനേ, അപാരമായ ബലം പ്രദര്‍ശിപ്പിച്ച് അതിശക്തനായ താരകാസുരനെ വകവരുത്തിയവനേ എന്നും നീ എന്നെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളണേ
प्रशान्तेन्द्रिये नष्टसंज्ञे विचेष्टे कफोद्गारिवक्त्रे भयोत्कम्पिगात्रे।
प्रयाणोन्मुखे मय्यनाथे तदानीं द्रुतं मे दयालो भवाग्रे गुह त्वम्॥ 20
പ്രശാന്തേന്ദ്രിയേ നഷ്ടസംജ്ഞേ വിചേഷ്ടേ കഫോദ്ഗാരിവക്ത്രേ ഭയോത്കമ്പിഗാത്രേ|
പ്രയാണോന്മുഖേ മയ്യനാഥേ തദാനീം
ദ്രുതം മേ ദയാളോ ഭവാഗ്രേ ഗുഹ ത്വം||
When all my organs have become inactive, when my senses have taken leave of me, when I have become as still as a log, when my mouth is blocked by phlegm, when I am trembling with fear as I start my journey to the abode of death, having no one to protect me, Oh Compassionate Guha, Muruka, please appear before me without any delay and be with me.
ശരീരഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാം ചലനമറ്റ്, ബോധം ഇല്ലാതായി, ചേതന നശിച്ച്, കഫം കൊണ്ട് അടഞ്ഞ മുഖവും, പേടികൊണ്ട് വിറയ്ക്കുന്ന ശരീരവുമായി യമലോകത്തെയ്ക്ക് പ്രയാണം തുടങ്ങുന്ന, ആരും തുണയില്ലാത്ത എന്റെ മുന്നില്‍ ദയാമൂര്‍ത്തിയായ ഗുഹ, അവിടുന്ന് മുന്നില്‍ എന്റെ കൂടെ നില്‍ക്കണേ.
कृतान्तस्य दूतेषु चण्डेषु कोपाद्दह च्छिन्द्धि भिन्द्धीति मां तर्जयत्सु।
मयूरं समारुह्य मा भैरिति त्वं पुरः शक्तिपाणिर्ममायाहि शीघ्रम्॥ 21
കൃതാന്തസ്യ ദൂതേഷു ചണ്ഡേഷു കോപാദ്ദഹ ഛിന്‍ദ്ധി ഭിന്‍ദ്ധീതി മാം തര്‍ജയത്സു|
മയൂരം സമാരുഹ്യ മാ ഭൈരിതി ത്വം പുരഃ ശക്തിപാണിര്‍മമായാഹി ശീഘ്രം||
When the angry and cruel missives of the god of death charge towards me shouting in utter rage, “burn him, crush him, tear him to shreds”, my master Muruka, please rush towards me, riding your peacock and holding your Shakti (Vel) and uttering the reassuring and sweet words “Do not fear, I am here for you”
ക്രൂരതയുടെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ ഒരു അയവുമില്ലാത്ത യമദൂതന്മാര്‍ “ഇവനെചുട്ടു നീറാക്കുക, പച്ചി ചീന്തുക, ചതച്ച് അരയ്ക്കുക,” എന്നൊക്കെ തീരാത്ത കോപത്തോടെ വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തുമ്പോള്‍ നീ എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ മയില്‍ വാഹനത്തില്‍ ഏറി,വേലും കൈയില്‍ ഏന്തി, “ഒട്ടും പേടിക്കേണ്ട,നിനക്ക് ഞാന്‍ ഉണ്ട്” എന്ന് ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് ഓടി വരണം, മുരുകാ
प्रणम्यासकृत्पादयोस्ते पतित्वा प्रसाद्य प्रभो प्रार्थयेऽनेकवारम्।
न वक्तुं क्षमोऽहं तदानीं कृपाब्धे न कार्यान्तकाले मनागप्युपेक्षा॥ 22
പ്രണമ്യാസകൃത്പാദയൊസ്തേ പതിത്വാ പ്രസാദ്യ പ്രഭോ പ്രാര്‍ഥയേഽനേകവാരം|
ന വക്തും ക്ഷമോഽഹം തദാനീം കൃപാബ്ധേ ന കാര്യാന്തകാലേ മനാഗപ്യുപേക്ഷാ||
My Master Skanda, I am offering Pranams, now itself, innumerable times at Your pair of feet, oh Lord, making my humble entreaties, I praying many times. “Oh, the Ocean of mercy, I would not be in a state of mind and body to present my prayers at the time of my death. Please, please, do not have even a wee bit of negligence in my case for that reason.
എന്റെ നാഥനായ സ്കന്ദ, ഈയുള്ളവന് അവിടുത്തെ തൃപ്പാദങ്ങളില്‍ വീണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ തന്നെ അസംഖ്യം പ്രണാമങ്ങള്‍ അര്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനകളും ആശങ്കകളും എണ്ണിയെണ്ണി ഉണര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നു. “ കാരുണ്യത്തിന്‍റെ കടലാണ് നീ. മരണം എന്നെ വിഴുങ്ങാനെത്തുന്ന അവസരത്തില്‍ നിന്നെ ഓര്‍ക്കുവാനും വിളിക്കുവാനും ഉള്ള ശാരീരികവും മാനസികവും ആയ കെല്‍പ്പ് എനിക്ക് ഉണ്ടാവില്ല. അത് കരുതി നീ എന്നോട് അല്പം പോലും ഉപേക്ഷ കാണിക്കരുത്”
सहस्राण्डभोक्ता त्वया शूरनामा हतस्तारकः सिंहवक्त्रश्च दैत्यः।
ममान्तर्हृदिस्थं मनःक्लेशमेकं न हंसि प्रभो किं करोमि क्व यामि॥ 23
സഹസ്രാണ്ഡഭോക്താ ത്വയാ ശൂരനാമാ ഹതസ്താരകഃ സിംഹവക്ത്രശ്ച ദൈത്യഃ|
മമാന്തര്‍ഹൃദിസ്ഥം മനഃക്ലേശമേകം ന ഹംസി പ്രഭോ കിം കരോമി ക്വ യാമി||
My Master Skanda, You annihilated Shoorapadma the cruel demon who ran riot over thousands of galaxies and killed his brothers and cohorts Taraka and Simhavaktra too. Why are you slack in destroying the demon of mental agony lurking inside me? Where else am I go seeking relief?
സ്കന്ദ, ആയിരം അണ്ഡങ്ങളെയും അടക്കി വാണ ശൂരപത്മന്‍ എന്ന അസുരനും, അവന്‍റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ താരകനും സിംഹവക്ത്രനും എല്ലാം നിന്നാല്‍ നിഗ്രഹിയ്ക്കാപ്പെട്ടു. പക്ഷെ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ ആഴ്ന്നു കിടക്കുന്ന മനോദുഃഖം എന്ന കൊടും പാപിയെ മാത്രം നീ എന്ത് കാരണം കൊണ്ടാണ് വകവരുത്താതിരിക്കുന്നത്? ആശ്രയം തേടി ഞാന്‍ എന്ത് ചെയ്യും? എവിടെ പോകും?
अहं सर्वदा दुःखभारावसन्नो भवान्दीनबन्धुस्त्वदन्यं न याचे।
भवद्भक्तिरोधं सदा कॢप्तबाधं ममाधिं द्रुतं नाशयोमासुत त्वम्॥24
അഹം സര്‍വദാ ദുഃഖഭാരാവസന്നോ ഭവാന്ദീനബന്ധുസ്ത്വദന്യം ന യാചേ|
ഭവദ്ഭക്തിരോധം സദാ ക്ലിപ്തബാധം മമാധിം
ദ്രുതം നാശയോമാസുത ത്വം||
The weight of sorrows and pains are bowing me down and crushing me forever. Such burden of sorrows clamp heavy limitations on me and prevent the flow of unconditional devotion towards you. I have no one else to go. You are the sole refuge for people in misery, Oh son of Uma Parvathy. I beg you in all humility that you may remove all my sorrows and maladies
ആധികളുടെയും വ്യാധികളുടെയും താങ്ങാനാവാത്ത ഭാരം കൊണ്ട് തളര്‍ന്നമരുന്ന എനിക്ക് അക്കാരണം കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ അവിടുത്തുങ്കല്‍ പൂര്‍ണ്ണമായ ഭക്തി പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുവാന്‍ കaഴിയുന്നില്ല. മറ്റൊരാളെയും ആശ്രയിക്കാന്‍ എനിക്കറിയില്ല. ഗതിയില്ലാത്തവര്‍ക്ക് എല്ലാം ഒരേ ഒരു ആശ്രയമായ, ഉമാ പാര്‍വതിയുടെ ഓമന മകനായ സ്കന്ദ, എന്റെ വിഷമങ്ങള്‍ ഇനിയും വൈകിക്കാതെ അകറ്റാന്‍ കനിവുണ്ടാവണം
अपस्मारकुष्ठक्षयार्शः प्रमेहज्वरोन्मादगुल्मादिरोगा महान्तः।
पिशाचाश्च सर्वे भवत्पत्रभूतिं विलोक्य क्षणात्तारकारे द्रवन्ते॥ 25
അപസ്മാരകുഷ്ഠക്ഷയാര്‍ശഃ പ്രമേഹജ്വരോന്മാദഗുല്മാദിരോഗാ മഹാന്തഃ|
പിശാചാശ്ച സര്‍വേ ഭവത്പത്രഭൂതിം വിലോക്യ ക്ഷണാത്താരകാരേ ദ്രവന്തേ||
Very serious maladies and illnesses like epilepsy, leprosy,tuberculosis, dysentery,diabetes,fever, madness and abdominal disodrders, and evil spirts and demonic forces too simply leave us disappear once they see or are in the vicinity of the holy ashes covered with holy leaves of your Tiruchendur shrhine, Oh Killer of Taraka
നമ്മെ ബാധിച്ച മാരക രോഗങ്ങളായ അപസ്മാരം, കുഷ്ടം,ക്ഷയം, അതിസാരം പ്രമേഹം,ജ്വരം,ഉന്മാദം, കരള്‍ പ്ലീഹ, ഉദരം എന്നിവയുടെ വീക്കം എന്നിവയും, പിന്നെ പിശാചുക്കളും ക്ഷുദ്രശക്തികളും എല്ലാം താരകാരിയായ അവിടുത്തെ തിരുച്ചെന്തൂരിലെ ഇലയില്‍ പൊതിഞ്ഞ ഭസ്മപ്രസാദം കണ്ടാലും സേവിച്ചാലും ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ തിരിച്ചു വരാത്ത വിധം അപ്രത്യക്ഷമാവുന്നു,ഓടി മറയുന്നു
दृशि स्कन्दमूर्तिः श्रुतौ स्कन्दकीर्तिः मुखे मे पवित्रं सदा तच्चरित्रम्।
करे तस्य कृत्यं वपुस्तस्य भृत्यं गुहे सन्तु लीना ममाशेषभावाः॥ २६॥*26
ദൃശി സ്കന്ദമൂര്‍ത്തിഃ ശ്രുതൗ സ്കന്ദകീര്‍ത്തിര്‍മുഖേ മേ പവിത്രം സദാ തച്ചരിത്രം|
കരേ തസ്യ കൃത്യം വപുസ്തസ്യ ഭൃത്യം ഗുഹേ സന്തു ലീനാ മമാശേഷഭാവാഃ|| ൨൬||
Skanda, may your glorious form ever manifest in my inner and external vision, may my ears always reverberate with your praises, may my lips ever wax eloquent about your meritrious tidings, may these two hands of mine eternally in your serice, and finally mwy whole body and being are offered in slavery or you..Guha, may all my senses and activities be immersed in you for ever and ever
അകക്കണ്ണിലും പുറക്കണ്ണിലും സ്കന്ദന്‍റെ രൂപം മാത്രം, കേള്‍ക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം അവന്‍റെ പുകഴ് മാത്രം ചുണ്ടുകള്‍ ഉരുവിടുന്നത് അവന്‍റെ പരിശുദ്ധങ്ങളായ അപദാനങ്ങള്‍, കൈ കൊണ്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നതെല്ലാം അവന്നായുള്ള സേവനങ്ങള്‍, ഈ ശരീരം തന്നെ അവനുവേണ്ടി അടിമപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, ഈ വിധത്തില്‍ ഭഗവാനേ ഗുഹ, എന്റെ എല്ലാ ഭാവങ്ങളും നിന്നില്‍ എന്നും ലയിച്ചിരിക്കട്ടെ
मुनीनामुताहो नृणां भक्तिभाजां अभीष्टप्रदाः सन्ति सर्वत्र देवाः।
नृणामन्त्यजानामपि स्वार्थदाने गुहाद्देवमन्यं न जाने न जाने॥ 27
മുനീനാമുതാഹോ നൃണാം ഭക്തിഭാജാം അഭീഷ്ടപ്രദാഃ സന്തി സര്‍വത്ര ദേവാഃ|
നൃണാമന്ത്യജാനാമപി സ്വാര്‍ത്ഥദാനേ ഗുഹാദ്ദേവമന്യം ന ജാനേ ന ജാനേ|| ൨൭||
Everywhere and at all times one can find deities who fulfil the coveted desires of sages who lead prure lives and also men who serve such deitieis with great care and devotion. But I have never come across any divinity other than Skanda the Guha who would fulfil all the deisres including His realization fo people of origin at the lowliest level.
ജ്ഞാനവും തപസ്സും കൃത്യമായി പിന്തുടരുന്ന മുനിമാര്‍ക്കും, പിന്നെ എന്നും ഭക്തിയോടെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യര്‍ക്കും അവര്‍ നിനച്ചതെല്ലാം നടത്തിക്കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഒത്തിരി ദേവന്മാരെ നമുക്ക് കണ്ടുമുട്ടാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്ന് വരാം.. പക്ഷെ ഒട്ടും അറിവും ആഭിജാത്യവും ഇല്ലാത്ത, താഴ്ന്ന നിലയില്‍ ജന്മം ലഭിച്ചവര്‍ക്ക് പോലും എല്ലാ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങളും സാധിപ്പിക്കുക മാത്രമല്ല സായൂജ്യം തന്നെ നല്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവനായി ഗുഹനല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരുവനെയും എനിക്കറിയില്ല
कलत्रं सुता बन्धुवर्गः पशुर्वा नरो वाथ नारि गृहे ये मदीयाः।
यजन्तो नमन्तः स्तुवन्तो भवन्तं स्मरन्तश्च ते सन्तु सर्वे कुमार॥ ॥28
കളത്രം സുതാ ബന്ധുവര്‍ഗഃ പശുര്‍വാ
നരോ വാഥ നാരി ഗൃഹേ യേ മദീയാഃ|
യജന്തോ നമന്തഃ സ്തുവന്തോ ഭവന്തം
സ്മരന്തശ്ച തേ സന്തു സര്‍വേ കുമാര|| ൨൮||
My wife,spouse,children, my close kin,thecattle owned by me, men,servants,associates or ladies residing in my house..amy all of them be dvoted to you,prostrate before you, praise your glory,meditate upon you and offer oblations to you, Oh Skanda,Kumara
എന്റെ ഭാര്യ, ജീവിതപങ്കാളി, മക്കള്‍, അടുത്ത ബന്ധുക്കള്‍, എന്റെ വളര്‍ത്തുമൃഗങ്ങള്‍, എന്റെ വീട്ടില്‍ വസിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ സ്ത്രീ പുരുഷന്മാരും-- ഇവരെല്ലാം ഭഗവാനെ സ്കന്ദ,കുമാര, അവിടുത്തുങ്കല്‍ ഭക്തി ഉള്ളവരും അങ്ങയെ പൂജിക്കുന്നവരും,സ്മരിക്കുന്നവരും സ്ടുതിക്കുന്നവരും അങ്ങേയ്ക്ക് കാണിക്കകള്‍ അര്‍പ്പിക്കുന്നവരും ഒക്കെ ആയി എന്നും തുടരട്ടെ
मृगाः पक्षिणो दंशका ये च दुष्टाः तथा व्याधयो बाधका ये मदङ्गे।
भवच्छक्तितीक्ष्णाग्रभिन्नाः सुदूरे विनश्यन्तु ते चूर्णितक्रौञ्जशैल॥ 29
മൃഗാഃ പക്ഷിണോ ദംശകാ യേ ച ദുഷ്ടാഃ തഥാ വ്യാധയോ ബാധകാ യേ മദംഗേ|

ചില മൃഗങ്ങളും, പക്ഷികളും, കീടങ്ങളും അവയുടെ ദുഷ്ടത നിറഞ്ഞ പ്രവൃത്തികള്‍ എന്നില്‍ പ്രയോഗിക്കാം. അതുപോലെ കടുത്ത വ്യാധികളും എന്നെ ബാധിക്കാന്‍ കാത്തുകെട്ടി നില്‍ക്കുന്നുണ്ട്, ആ ബാധകള്‍ എന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ ഒരിക്കലും എത്താത്ത വിധം ഏറെ ദൂരേവച്ചു തന്നെ സ്കന്ദ, ക്രൗഞ്ചഗിരിയെ തരിപ്പണം ആക്കിയ അവിടുത്തെ വേല്‍ മുന കൊണ്ട് കുത്തിക്കീറി തകര്‍ക്കേണമേ.
जनित्री पिता च स्वपुत्रापराधं सहेते न किं देवसेनाधिनाथ।
अहं चातिबालो भवान् लोकतातः क्षमस्वापराधं समस्तं महेश॥ ३०॥
ജനിത്രീ പിതാ ച സ്വപുത്രാപരാധം സഹേതേ ന കിം ദേവസേനാധിനാഥ|
അഹം ചാതിബാലോ ഭവാന്‍ ലോകതാതഃ ക്ഷമസ്വാപരാധം സമസ്തം മഹേശ|| ൩൦||
Oh my Master Skanda, who is also the master of Devasena.. the daughter of Indra, and also the commander of the Army of Gods, are you not aware of the fact that one's parents would tolerate and love their son, even if he is in the habit of committing the greatest mistakes? Muruga, the most exalted Lord, you are the father of the whole universe, and I am a mere child of yours .. Therefore, it is only fair that you should forgive all my mistakes, big or small?*
ദേവസേനയുടെ നാഥനായ ഭഗവാനെ, സ്വന്തം മക്കള്‍ എന്തു തെറ്റ് ചെയ്താലും അച്ഛനും അമ്മയും അത് പൊറുത്തു മക്കളെ സ്നേഹിക്കില്ലേ ? ഞാന്‍ വെറും ബാലനല്ലേ.. അങ്ങയുടെ
മകന്‍ ? അങ്ങ് ഈ മൂന്ന് ലോകത്തിലുമുള്ള എല്ലാവരുടെയും പിതാവാണ്. എല്ലാ ദേവന്മാര്‍ക്കും ദേവനായ മുരുകാ,ദേവസേനാവല്ലഭ, എന്റെ തെറ്റുകള്‍ എല്ലാം എപ്പോഴും അങ്ങ് ക്ഷമിക്കില്ലേ ?
