अमृतं चैव मृत्युश्च द्वयं देहप्रतिष्ठितम्

अमृतं चैव मृत्युश्च द्वयं देहप्रतिष्ठितम्।

मोहादापद्यते मृत्युः सत्येनापद्यतेऽमृतम्॥

amṛtaṁ caiva mṛtyuśca dvayaṁ dehapratiṣṭhitam|

mohādāpadyate mṛtyuḥ satyenāpadyate'mṛtam||

सुभाषितम्

Immortality and death both are inborn and are lying dormant for ever in our bodies

When we succumb to desires and lust, death takes over

When we adhere to truth, we attain immortality.

അമൃതം ചൈവ മൃത്യുശ്ച ദ്വയം ദേഹപ്രതിഷ്ടിതം

മോഹാദാപദ്യതെ മൃത്യു സത്യേനാപദ്യതെ അമൃതം
