तमेव कालं युद्धस्य प्रवदन्ति मनीषिणः

यत्रायुद्धे ध्रुवं मृत्युर् युद्धे जीवितसंशयः।

तमेव कालं युद्धस्य प्रवदन्ति मनीषिणः॥

yatrāyuddhe dhruvaṁ mṛtyur yuddhe jīvitasaṁśayaḥ|

tameva kālaṁ yuddhasya pravadanti manīṣiṇaḥ||

The experts with great wisdom are of the view that the time ripe for entering into a war is when sure death and annihilation are facing us if we do not fight and there is some chance for either life or death if war is waged.
