प्रायः श्वश्रूस्नुषयोः न दृश्यते सौहृदं लोके

कुटिला लक्ष्मीर्यत्र प्रभवति न सरस्वती वसति तत्र।

प्रायः श्वश्रूस्नुषयोः न दृश्यते सौहृदं लोके॥

kuṭilā lakṣmīryatra prabhavati na sarasvatī vasati tatra|

prāyaḥ śvaśrūsnuṣayoḥ na dṛśyate sauhṛdaṁ loke||

Wherever there is excessive affluence indicating the presence of Lakshmi, invariably we could find the absence of Saraswathi, signifying knowledge and education. Maybe in this world friendship between mother in law and daughter in law is never seen.

Lakshmi is the wife of Vishnu and Saraswathi is the wife of Brahmadeva, the son of

Vishnu.
