A quote from a celebrated text on Law of the old.. from Kshemendra of Kashmir.. 10th -11th century CE
=============
The one whose knowledge and understanding of the Sciences and scriptures work in absolute agreement with his intellect
And his intellect is entirely amenable to his knowledge of sciences and scripturs
And who conducts himself without conflict with the traditions and precedents
He alone attains eternal name and fame as a scholar of repute.
