यजुर्वेद ९-२३ (9-23) Shukla yajurvedam.
वाज॑स्ये॒मम्प्र॑स॒वः सु॑षु॒वे ग्रे॒ सोम॒ राजा॑न॒मोष॑धीष्व॒प्सु । ताऽअ॒स्मभ्यं॒ मधु॑मतीर्भवन्तु व॒यं रा॒ष्ट्रे जा॑गृयाम पु॒रोहि॑ताः॒ स्वाहा॑ ॥യജുര്വ്വേദം ൯-൨൩ (9-23) ശുക്ല യജുര്വേദംവാജ॑സ്യേ॒മംപ്ര॑സ॒വഃ സു॑ഷു॒വേ ഗ്രേ॒ സോമ॒ രാജാ॑ന॒മോഷ॑ധീഷ്വ॒പ്സു । താഽഅ॒സ്മഭ്യം॒ മധു॑മതീര്ഭ വന്തു വ॒യം രാ॒ഷ്ട്രേ ജാ॑ഗൃയാമ പു॒രോഹി॑താഃ॒ സ്വാഹാ॑ ॥
vājasyemaṃprasavaḥ suṣuve gre soma rājānam
oṣadhīṣvapsu । tā'asmabhyaṃ madhumatīrbhavantu vaya rāṣṭe jāgṛyāma purohitāḥ svāhā ॥
Meaning
Oh, enlightened men, may we anoint an exalted person as our king
a person who is well learned and having experts in all sciences and other disciplines
a person who is having robust health,
a person who is having all the qualities of Soma Himself
And may the Doctors of the State who are bound by duty to protect him ensure that there is no disease or ailment for him either in body, mind or spirit
May the Physicians of the State also ensure that the ministers and other authorities and subjects too are in good health
may all be in good health and robust state of physique so that they would be able to resist and vanquish all the evil forces within the state and also be able to beat the enemies who might launch any attack on the state
May there be protection through sweet waters, sweet herbs and may there be sweetness everywhere
For that we, who are the foremost enlightened people of this state would keep awake eternally and ensure the welfare for all..
