संसार विषवृक्षस्य द्वे फले ह्यमृतोपमे।
सुभाषित रसास्वादः सङ्गतिः सुजनै सह॥
सुभाषितरत्नभाण्डागार
saṃsāra viṣavṛkṣasya dve phale hyamṛtopame।
subhāṣita rasāsvādaḥ saṃgatiḥ sujanai saha॥
subhaashitaratnabhaanadaagaara
Sure, this worldly life is like a tree with poison within. But it has, it gives, two fruits which are like ambrosia or amrutham that can save one and all from death. Those two fruits are
1. The opportunity for the people to enjoy and put to use the wise sayings of great souls, and
2.Satsang with realized souls.
The poet admits the fact that the life on this world is toxic indeed. But then he is hopeful because it is on this world, and nowhere else that people can get Subhashitams and Satsangam.

സുഭാഷിത രസാസ്വാദഃ സംഗതിഃ സുജനൈ സഹ॥
ഈ കര്‍മ്മബന്ധം കൊണ്ട് മലീമസമായ ലൌകികജീവിതം ഒരു വിഷം പേറുന്ന മരം പോലെ തന്നെയാണ്. പക്ഷെ ആ മരത്തില്‍നിന്ന് തന്നെ അമൃതം പോലെ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും ഉത്തേജനം നല്‍കുന്ന രണ്ട് പഴങ്ങള്‍ ലഭിക്കുന്നു.. ഈ രണ്ടു പഴങ്ങള്‍ ൧. ഈ ഭൂമിയില്‍ ജീവിക്കുന്ന ജീവിച്ച മഹാന്മാര്‍ രചിച്ച സുഭാഷിതങ്ങളുടെ രസം ആസ്വദിക്കുക, അവ ജീവിതത്തില്‍ പകര്‍ത്തി സന്തോഷിക്കുക ൨. ഔന്നത്യം നിറഞ്ഞ സജ്ജനങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം അറിവും നന്മയും പങ്കിട്ട് സത്സംഗത്തില്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെട്ട് ദിനങ്ങള്‍ കഴിയ്ക്കുക.
ഇവിടെ കവി സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് ഭൂമിയിലെ ജീവിതം വിഷലിപ്തമാണെങ്കിലും നാം ഇവിടെ ജീവിക്കുക തന്നെ വേണം. ഇവിടെ അല്ലാതെ സുഭാഷിതങ്ങളും സത്സംഗവും വേറെവിടെ ലഭിക്കാനാണ് ?
