I respect brahminism.. I respect shastras.. I respect the procedures an rituals too.
However, that does not mean I am an unreasonable and blind follower of any creed
Besides, that does not mean I should not think independently and guide my thoughts ideas and action through reference and allegience to not only any particular text of texts,
but on the basis of thoughts and ideas and thoughts which have been derived and adopted from the wisdom of people and words spread all over the world.
True, what I do or think should not hurt or cause unwanted difficulties to anyone else.
True, what I do should not cause roadblocks to public order and should not militate against public decency.
As a constituent of the state, as a citizen of my country I am duty bound to obey the laws of the land.. and I am also entitled to enjoy the freedom and protection that very same law ensures for me through the constitution ..
Within that framework I am free to hold my views, and air my views too..
I have never claimed that I am the spokeman for Shastras or any particular creed or sect..
I am just a human being who would try to be reasonable and be just and tolerant..
That is all..
