In fact there are no serious external situations manifesting at any point of space or time.
It is the mind of the perceiver that builds up the situation, and the drama happens only in a person's body and mind..
If the mind and the organs do not perceive a situation, the presence or absence of such a situation is simply of no consequence to the one who perceives.
When a sword cuts, it is just moving according to the laws of gravity, just in the manner any other piece of matter would act.
However it is the body of the victim that gets deformed and it is the mind of the sufferer that feels the pain.
Prayer too is a sort of build-up in the mind, perhaps assisted by the body and the organs.
Therefore it is but natural that a situation and a prayer are constructively connected.
For example or a dead or insensitive person does not make and is not expected to make a prayer. In addition, no situation is worth any change for a dead or insensitive person.
