पादाभ्यां न स्पृशेदग्निं गुरुं ब्राह्मणमेव च।
नैव गावं कुमारीं च न वृद्धं न शिशुं तथा॥
चाणक्याद्॥। धर्मशास्त्रे च
pādābhyāṁ na spṛśedagniṁ guruṁ brāhmaṇameva ca|
naiva gāvaṁ kumārīṁ ca na vṛddhaṁ na śiśuṁ tathā||
cāṇakyād||| dharmaśāstre ca
When one moves he should be very careful not to touch with his feet, nor kick,
the fire or the fireplace
the guru or preceptor
a learned person, a brahmin
a cow
a maiden.. young girl
an elderly person
a child
That means a lot of respect should be shown to such persons..
Chanakya said it..
Dharmastras too underline this..
It does not mean one can kick many others things..
One has to be careful even before he kicks a football or a footwear.
