if we hibernate as a group we will never wake up and move

Wisdom lies in taking some positive steps towards achieving an action plan. The initial footsteps might be unobtrusive and infinitesimally small. However, once the project is set in motion, the project is on. And with adequate enthusiasm and sense of purpose and a steely will we can reach the summit..
However if we simply hibernate and do nothing we will remain static eternally.
A few seconds of activity is far better than years of thinking and ruminating

The wise quote above from the classic Hitopadesham come to mind.

गच्छन् पिपीलिको याति योजनानां शतान्यपि ।
अगच्छन् वैनतेयोऽपि पदमेकं न गच्छति ॥ हितोपदेशे

A tiny ant starts moving, starts taking tiny steps in its own limited way. Still, in time it will cover miles and miles and reach the destination.
However, the king of Eagles Garuda is sitting perched on a treetop, watching for a prey to show up. It may sit on and on, but there can be no success in sight.

Yes, once we start moving ahead, the target is within our reach. We are in charge. When we wait for things to happen, other factors take control of our project.

Through steady and concerted action, even if we are slow in our progress, we will make progress. One added advantage is that if we move ahead as a cohesive group at least a few of us can reach the destination.
However if we hibernate as a group we will never wake up and move
