असन्त्यागात् पापकृतामपापान् तुल्यो दोषः स्पृश्यते मिश्रभावात्।
शुष्केणार्द्रं दह्यते मिश्रभावात् तस्मात् पापैः सह सन्धिं न कुर्यात्॥३३२
सारसमुच्चये
asantyāgāt pāpakṛtāmapāpān tulyo doṣaḥ spṛśyate miśrabhāvāt|
śuṣkeṇārdraṁ dahyate miśrabhāvāt tasmāt pāpaiḥ saha sandhiṁ na kuryāt||332
sārasamuccaye
If a normal and pious person keeps company with or does notavoid association with evil fellow the sins and setbacks that are due to the evil fellow would visit the other fellow through merely as a consequence of association. See, if wet and dry twigs are stacked with dry ones and exposed to fire, the wet ones too get burned to ashes. So it would be prudent for good people not to get mixed up with shady fellows.
അസന്ത്യാഗാത് പാപകൃതാമപാപാന് തുല്യോ ദോഷഃ സ്പൃശ്യതേ മിശ്രഭാവാത്।
ശുഷ്കേണാര്ദ്രം ദഹ്യതേ മിശ്രഭാവാത് തസ്മാത് പാപൈഃ സഹ സന്ധിം ന കുര്യാത്॥൩൩൨
സാരസമുച്ചയേ
നല്ലവരും മാന്യന്മാരും ആയ വ്യക്തികള് ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുമായി കൂട്ടുചേരുകയോ അവരുമായുള്ള സഹകരണം ഒഴിവാകാതിരിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്താല് ആ ചീത്ത സംസര്ഗം ഒന്നുകൊണ്ട് മാത്രം ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്ക്ക് വന്നു ചേരുന്ന പാപങ്ങളും പ്രശ്നങ്ങളും വിഷമങ്ങളും എല്ലാം കൂടെ നിന്ന നല്ലവര്ക്കും വന്നു ചേരും.
ഉണങ്ങിയ വിറകിനോടൊപ്പം പച്ചയായ നനഞ്ഞ തടിക്കഷണങ്ങള് ചേര്ത്തു വച്ചു തീയിട്ടാല് നനഞ്ഞ വിറകും കത്തി ചാമ്പലാകുന്നു.
ഇത് മനസ്സിലാക്കി ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോടും വഞ്ചകന്മാരും ഒത്തുള്ള കൂട്ടുകെട്ട് ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതാണ് വിവേകം.
