tyajata pareṣu akramamākramaṇam
jananī pṛthivī kāmadughāste
janako devaḥ sakaladayāluḥ
dāmyata datta dayadhvaṃ janatāḥ
śreyo bhūyāt sakalajanānām।
May you foster friendship among all,
the friendship that would win over the hearts of everyone on the face of the earth
May you look upon everyone else as if he is just your own self
Abandon war for ever, abandon strife for ever
Give up thoughts of creating disorder in the world, and also never think of unleashing violence or war against others.
