पैशुन्यं साहसं द्रोह ईर्ष्यासूयार्थदूषणम् |
वाग्दण्डजं च पौरुष्यं क्रोधजोऽपि गणोष्टकः ||

paiśunyaṃ sāhasaṃ droha īrṣyāsūyārthadūṣaṇam |
vāgdaṇḍajaṃ ca pauruṣyaṃ krodhajo'pi gaṇoṣṭakaḥ ||

The evil effects of excessive rage or extreme anger can manifest singly or as a complete set of eight evil consequences. The eight evils are
1. Tendency to talk ill of others behind their back, to carry tales, without any reason
2. Excessive haste and thoughtless action without considering the consequences
3. Intention to harm someone deliberately, and executing such evil intention too
4. Unreasonable irritation and testiness arsing out of intolerance
5, Unbounded jealousy
6. Deceitfulness, dishonesty while dealing with money, tendency to use money for wrong purposes
7. Extreme cruelty and lack of concern for others while uttering or using words
8. Utter callousness and lack of mercy while meting out physical punishment to others.
पैशुन्यं tendency to accuse, find fault unreasonably and behind the back साहसं excessive haste, misplaced adventure द्रोहाःintention to harm, to harm, to plot and cause harm deliberately ईर्ष्या irritation and anger arising out of intolerance असूया jealousy अर्थदूषणं deceitfulness, lack of honesty in dealing with money, tendency to use money for harmful and wrong purposes वाक् (पारुष्यं) cruelty, lakc of concern for others while uttering or using words दण्डजं च पारुष्यं severity and cruelty while administrationg physical punishment oo इति thus अष्टकः group of eight evil consequences क्रोधजः arising out of anger, excessive rage अपि गणः भवति these results arise as a group or cluster.
പൈശുന്യം സാഹസം ദ്രോഹ ഈര്ഷ്യാസൂയാര്ഥദൂഷണം ।
വാഗ്ദണ്ഡജം ച പൌരുഷ്യം ക്രോധജോഽപി ഗണോഷ്ടകഃ ॥

നിയന്ത്രണം ഇല്ലാത്ത കോപവും പൊട്ടിത്തെറിക്കുന്ന ക്രോധവും മൂലം ഉണ്ടാവുന്ന തിക്തഫലങ്ങള് താഴെ പറയുന്ന എട്ടു രൂപങ്ങളില് ഓരോന്നായോ കൂട്ടുചേര്ന്നോ ഉരുത്തിരിഞ്ഞു നാശം വിതയ്ക്കാം.
അപകടകാരികളായ ആ ഏറ്റു കാര്യങ്ങള് ഇവയാണ്.
൧. ഒരു കാരണവും ഇല്ലാതെ മറ്റുള്ളവരേക്കുറിച്ചു കുറ്റം പറയുക, അവര് തീരെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാത്ത അവസരങ്ങളില് അവരറിയാതെ അവര്ക്കെതിരെ ഇല്ലാത്ത കുറ്റങ്ങള് പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുക
൨. വരും വരായ്ക ഒന്നും ചിന്തിക്കാതെ ധൃതിപ്പെട്ടും ആലോചിക്കാതെയും അബദ്ധങ്ങള് ചെയ്തു കൂട്ടുക
൩. മറ്റുള്ളവരെ ദ്രോഹിക്കാനുള്ള മനോഭാവം ഉണ്ടാവുക, അതിനനുസരിച്ചു പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുക
൪. അസഹിഷ്ണുത എപ്പോഴും സ്വഭാവത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമാക്കുക, കാരണം ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാതെ മറ്റുള്ളവരോട് പരുക്കനായി പെരുമാറുക
൫. ഒരു അതിര്വരമ്പുകളും ഇല്ലാത്തവിധം അന്ധമായ അസൂയ പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുക
൬. പണം കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്ന അവസരങ്ങളില് വഞ്ചനയും ചതിയും പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുക, ഒരിക്കലും ചെയ്യാന് പാടില്ലാത്ത കാര്യങ്ങള്ക്കായി കയ്യിലുള്ള പണം ഉപയോഗിക്കുക.,
൭ വാക്കുകള് പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്ന കാര്യത്തില് അളവറ്റ ക്രൂരത പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുക , ആരോടും ഒരു കരുതലും ഇല്ലാതാവുക.
൮ മറ്റുള്ളവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കാനുള്ള അവസരം ഒത്തുരികയാണെങ്കില് അത്തരം സന്ദര്ഭങ്ങളില് കൊടും ക്രൂരതയും അന്തഃസാര ശൂന്യതയും കാണിക്കുക
