आलोक्य मातुर्मुखमादरेण स्तन्यं पिबन्तं सरसीरुहाक्षम् ।
सच्चिन्मयं देवमनन्तरूपं बालं मुकुन्दं मनसा स्मरामि ॥ २ ॥

The infinite is seen connected to the limitless love of the mother..
Who is infinite?

ആലോക്യ മാതുര്മുഖം ആദരേണ
സ്തന്യം പിബന്തം സരസീരുഹാക്ഷം
സച്ചിന്മയം ദേവം അനന്തരൂപം
ബാലം മുകുന്ദം മനസാ സ്മരാമി
മുകുന്ദാഷ്ടകത്തില് നിന്ന്
അമ്മയുടെ അന്പാര്ന്ന മുഖത്തേക്ക്
ആദരപൂര്വ്വം കണ്ണുപായിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്
അവളുടെ അമ്മിഞ്ഞപ്പാല്
നുണഞ്ഞുകുടിക്കുന്ന താമരക്കണ്ണനെ
നന്മയുടെയും ആനന്ദത്തിന്റെയും
പ്രത്യക്ഷരൂപനായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്ന
ആ നിത്യചൈതന്യത്തെ
പിഞ്ചുപൈതലായി നമ്മെ മോഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന
ആ മുകുന്ദനെ അകതാരില് ഓര്ക്കട്ടെ.
അളവില്ലാത്ത ആനന്ദം
അവന്നാണോ
ആ യശോദക്കാണോ
അല്ല അവനെക്കുറിച്ച് ചിന്തിക്കുന്ന നമുക്കാണോ ?
