न पूतो न तपस्वी च न यज्वा न च धर्मभाक् ।
क्रोधस्य यो वशं गच्छेत्तस्य लोकद्वयं न हि ॥
सुभाषतसुधानिधि
na pūto na tapasvī ca na yajvā na ca dharmabhāk ।
krodhasya yo vaśaṃ gacchettasya lokadvayaṃ na hi ॥
subhāṣitasudhānidhi
If a person has the tendency to fall into the influence of utter rage or anger, he would never become eligible nor would be able to enjoy the benefits and comforts of the two worlds, that is, the present world in which he lives and the world he has to go when he dies. He would not be pure at any time, he would not be a good performer of yajnas and similar activities and he would never have the capacity to observe the virtues of the world nor would he be able to enjoy the benefits of the path of dharma
यः who क्रोधस्य anger, rage वशं influence गच्छेत् go subjects himself तस्य for him लोकद्वयं the two worlds, this world and the world after death न हि never indeed सः he कदा अपि ever न पूतः not pure, न यज्वा not the great performer of yajnas न धर्मभाक् not a partaker in virtuous activities च to भवति become
