I am not questioning the tendency or the sincere motives behind the desire to share..share anything including posts in social media..
It is even good and welcome.. it becomes a digest of general knowledge, even though most often it is just gossip..
But to snatch off someone elses property market it as your own is cruel and crude.
. And as if an icing to the cake if you claim that you should be praised and assigned copyright for the stolen property just shows decadence,,,
If you think that the society we live in is just a heap of muck, I have very little to say..
I know no one can write or publish only what he thinks or imbibes.. we have to draw wisdom from others over and our masters are placed in a wide spectrum over space and time.. Krishna, Vyasaa, Socrates, Valmiki, Gandhi, Gurudeb, EM Shankaran Namboothiripad and so on..
I would look silly if I just pass on what these masters have written as my own.. But even that can happen in social media..
In fact I am not publishing many articles in my collection over the years.. because I am not able to decide whether I wrote them myself or whether I copied them..
And my posts in social media a decade ago were made almost anonymously, and I have found many appearing in other names..
But there again I cannot claim any authorship because usually, however huge or tiny the material, I just type it on to the console, and never keep copy..
I am not claiming that I am much of an author or intellectual in any way.. but if a fellow of very low intellectual threshold like me can feel so much on the subject, just think of the haplessness of the really great ones.
