I have now reached a stage where I have lost my sense of proportion regarding desire to read..
I am simply deluged, drowned.. with no sight of escape.
And when I start reading something fresh, I see some references for further reading . Instinctively I go after those.. and travel in wide circles..
Thank God I have no action plan targets or limits like those we faced in the Taxation Department when I was working.
..
Many of the links friends send are fresh to me ..
This is so because there is no end limit for resources..
In fact I started reading Deekshiteeyam once again from start.. The language is lucid.. not much difficulty to translate.. but then again time left is a challenge..
And with every line in Deekshiteeyam there are references to many Shrutis and Smritis.. and when we start to go back after those references, things become more interesting..
I marvel at the tenacity of Vaidyanatha Deekshita.. a tamil iyer or Vathoola Gothram..
And the most valuable collection of Sanskrit books found is Ganapathi sastris Trivandrum Sanskrit series.. it is an epoch in the history of sanskrit literatue in India..
The Great poet Bhasa was introduced first in those stacks of books.
However, people often create mental turmoil too..
Certain posts made simply on the basis of our traditional rituals, fully knowing that logic and metaphysical arguments would not hold good, are criticized and wise-cracked upon.. on the basis of some secondary source in academics.
and reading some unfair and misplaced comments often depresses me..
People commenting on Shankara and all without reading the works of the Master at least reasonably well, by just quoting some inadequate quote or a quote of a quote makes life miserable..
It is really depressing..
I am doing things keeping in mind just a handful of persons, but wild and belligerent poachers attack and maul me too..
What to do.. I am clueless.
