परमर्मघट्टनादिषु खलस्य यत् कौशलं न तत् कृत्ये।
यत् सामर्थ्यं उपहतौ विषस्य तन्नोपकाराय॥ ८
paramarmaghaṭṭanādiṣu khalasya yat kausalaṁ na tat kṛtye|
yat sāmarthyaṁ upahatau viṣasya tannopakārāya|| 8
An evil minded ruffian is extremely efficient when it comes to activities that strike hard at the vitals of others and caused sever damage and destruction. But this level of efficiency is never shown when he is engaged in activities which are beneficial to one and all. The poison exhibits all its potency in destroying and killing the victims. However, nothing useful can be contributed by poison when it comes to helping anyone.

खलस्य of the evil person पर मर्म घट्टनादिषु breaking and causing damage and destruction hitting the vitals of other यत् which कौशलं efficiency तत् that कृत्ये न not in doing what should be done, in doing good work, doing service भवति happen . उपहतौ killing, damaging, destroying विषस्य for the poison यत् which सामर्थ्य efficiency वर्तते is present तत् that उपकाराय for helpling न भवति does not come usefuly
പരമര്മഘട്ടനാദിഷു ഖലസ്യ യത് കൌശലം ന തത് കൃത്യേ।
യത് സാമര്ഥ്യം ഉപഹതൌ വിഷസ്യ തന്നോപകാരായ॥ ൮
വകതിരിവില്ലാത്ത ദുഷ്ടന് മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ മര്മ്മങ്ങളില് പ്രഹരിച്ചു തീരാത്ത വേദനയും വിനാശവും ഉണ്ടാക്കി വയ്ക്കുന്നതില് അസാധാരണമായ കൌശലം പ്രദര്ശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. പക്ഷെ ആര്ക്കെങ്കിലും എന്തെങ്കിലും നന്മ ഉണ്ടാവുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യേണ്ടി വരുമ്പോള് ഈ കഴിവ് ഒരിക്കലും പുറത്തെടുക്കുകയില്ല.ആളുകളെ കൊല്ലാനും നശിപ്പിക്കാനും വേണ്ടി വിഷം അതിന്റെ എല്ലാ ശക്തിയും കാണിക്കും. പക്ഷെ അതെ വിഷം കൊണ്ട് ആര്ക്കെങ്കിലും ഏതെങ്കിലും നന്മ ഉണ്ടാവുക എന്നത് അസാധ്യമല്ലേ.
