उभे प्रज्ञे वेदितव्यो ऋज्वी वक्रा च भारत।
जानन्वक्रां न सेवेत प्रतिबाधेत चागताम्॥

jānanvakrāṁ na seveta pratibādheta cāgatām||

Bheeshamacharya is telling Yudhishtira.
Oh, Prince of Bharatha Dynasty, You must always acknowledge the fact that two types of perception and action do exist. One type is the straightforward one and the other is the devious, crooked one. Even though you have become aware of the crooked path, you should never follow that. And if you are either tempted by your mind or by others to turn towards such crooked ways, you should block that tendency at all costs.

ഉഭേ പ്രജ്ഞേ വേദിതവ്യോ ഋജ്വീ വക്രാ ച ഭാരത।
ജാനന്വക്രാം ന സേവേത പ്രതിബാധേത ചാഗതാം॥

ഭീഷ്മാചാര്യന് യുധിഷ്ടിരനോട് പറയുന്നു.
ഭരതവംശത്തിലെ നന്മ നിറഞ്ഞ രാജാവേ,
ഈ പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിലും സമൂഹത്തിലും രണ്ടു വിധത്തില് ഉള്ള ചിന്തകളും പ്രവൃത്തികളും നമ്മെ തങ്ങളുടെ വഴിയില് കൊണ്ടുനടത്താന് തയാറായി നില്ക്കുന്നുണ്ട് എന്ന വസ്തുത നാം എപ്പോഴും മനസ്സിലാക്കേണം. ആദ്യത്തേത് വളവും തിരിവും വഞ്ചനയും കാപട്യവും ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാത്തെ നേരായ മാര്ഗ്ഗം.
രണ്ടാമത്തേത് എല്ലാ ദോഷങ്ങളും നിറഞ്ഞ വളഞ്ഞ വഴി.
വളഞ്ഞ വഴി എന്തെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കുക തന്നെ വേണം.
പക്ഷെ അത്തരം വഴിയില് മുന്നേറാന് സ്വന്തം മനസ്സോ മറ്റുള്ള ആളുകളോ പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുകയാണെങ്കില് അത്തരം പ്രലോഭനങ്ങളിള് പെട്ടുപോകുന്നത് എന്ത് വില കൊടുത്തും ഒഴിവാക്കണം
