Comparison between Valmiki and Ezhuthassan is not possible..

When I was discussing some incident in Ramayanam, relying on the story narrated by Valmiki, I received a rejoinder that Ezhuthassan in Adhyatma Ramayanam has taken a different storyline.
My response is:-
Comparison between Valmiki and Ezhuthassan is not possible..
The Ramayanam created by Valmiki is at least three thousand years old, and has universal acceptance.. as far as authenticity is concerned.
Either as a semi-historic document or as a spiritual text, Valmiki's Ramayana is the last word for the followers of Rama, Indian and Hindu culture and lore ..
There can be no reason to dispute this.
Adhyatma Ramayanam even in Sanskrit came much later and is included in Brahmanda Puranam and even that inclusion is traced to 13th to 15th century of Christian Era.

Ezhuthassan just translated and interpolated or extrapolated a text going by the name Adhyatma Ramayanam in Sanskrit.
This text, even in its original form, has not received the same level of acceptance as the work credited to Valmiki. Ezhuthassan is just a local poet, confined at best to the territories of Kerala.. and he lived just five or six centuries ago.

Therefore what purpose will be served by comparing what Valmiki said and what Ezhuththassan said ?
