सन्तो मा गातिविश्रम्भं नमतीति खले जने ।
तुलावनमः को नाम यो न कूपाम्बुतस्करः ॥३३१॥
सारसमुच्चये
santo mā gātiviśrambhaṃ namatīti khale jane ।
tulāvanamaḥ ko nāma yo na kūpāmbutaskaraḥ ॥331॥

Oh my dear honest and good men, never repose too much faith on an evil minded fellow merely because he is too much humble and is bowing before you too often.
The bucket attached to a wheel that draws water from the well actually goes very deep into the water, actually to the bottom of the water collection. However, the intention of the bucket is to draw away or steal as much water it can from the well. The bucket bowing down into the water is not at all for the benefit of the well or its water. Likewise the obeisance offered by lowly and cunning fellows are just to exploit you and use you in the wrong way.
सन्तः learned and good men नमति they bow dow इति thus खले on wicked जने people अति विश्रम्भं excessive trust, excessive belief मा गा do not repose
तुलावनमः the deep lowering of water-drawing bucket कूपाम्बु the water in the well तस्करः thief को नाम ? is it not
സന്തോ മാ ഗാതിവിശ്രംഭം നമതീതി ഖലേ ജനേ ।
തുലാവനമഃ കോ നാമ യോ ന കൂപാംബുതസ്കരഃ ॥൩൩൧॥

സത്യസന്ധരും നല്ലവരും ആയ മാളോരെ, ദുഷ്ടന്മാരും തന്കാര്യം നേടാന് ശ്രമിക്കുന്നവരും ആയ ചില വിരുതന്മാര് നിങ്ങളുടെ മുന്നില് താണുവണങ്ങി കൂനിക്കൂടി നില്ക്കുന്നു എന്ന് കണ്ടു അവരെ വേണ്ടതിലേറെ വിശ്വസിച്ചു പോകരുതേ. കിണറ്റില് വെള്ളം കോരാന് കപ്പിയില് കെട്ടി ഇറക്കുന്ന ബക്കറ്റ് വലിയ വണക്കത്തോടെ വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ അടിയില് ചെന്ന് നില്ക്കും പക്ഷെ അതിന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശം കിട്ടാവുന്നത്രയും വെള്ളം നിറച്ച് കിണറിലെ വെള്ളം അത്രയും കവര്ന്നെടുക്കുക എന്നതാണ്.
കുനിഞ്ഞു വണങ്ങി താഴെ ചെല്ലുന്ന ബക്കറ്റ് കിണറിനോ അതിലെ വെള്ളത്തിനോ ഒരു നന്മയും ചെയ്യുകയില്ല. കഴിയാവുന്നത്ര വെള്ളം അടിച്ചു മാറ്റും. അത്രമാത്രം. അതു പോലെ തന്നെ നീചന്മാര് പാവങ്ങളും സാധുക്കളും ആയ മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുന്നില് വിധേയത നടിക്കുകയും അവരെ ചൂഷണം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
