it is actually the Marjara Nyayam.. veiled in a funny story.. The supreme lord, is eager to give emancipation and welfare to the dependent souls.. and even when the individual just conceals or keeps away some things which are valuable to himself, away from the God , the God searches, and even steals or robs all that and gives happiness in return to the dependent individual, even if that individual is not exactly interested or even knows the glory of offering all he has to the supreme being.. Here, like a cat caring for its tiny children whom they carry everywhere securing them on its mouth, the Lord is acting on his volition without waiting for the call , request or entreaty from the dependent soul..
That seems to be the essence of Vaishnavism.. The eternal mercy and care that Narayana holds for all the living beings..
