न द्विषन्ति न याचन्ते परनिन्दां न कुर्वते।

अनाहूता न चायान्ति तेन अश्मानोऽपि देवताः।।

The stones do not entertain any enmity with others.

They do not beg for anything.

They do not spread insults and slander regarding others.

They do not come to any place uninvited. Therefore even the stones are like gods.

The stones have the qualities of gods.

So they can be compared to Gods.

But we men brook enmity

we beg

we spread slander

and we visit places uninvited

So we are definitely mean and inferior.
