I just want to have my innocent days back before I leave this world

I have found out one truth, maybe to my own disappointment

When sincerity and humility were the predominating qualities present in me, I toiled a lot, read a lot, and gained some real knowledge..
But then showmanship, exhibitionism and arrogance, the thought that I am far better than others, took control of me and my attitude changed..
I became an inflated balloon (buffoon)
.. And that was the end of my quest for knowledge ..
Now I just thrive on what I gathered during my sweet era of innocence..
However, nowadays I try to assert without any justification that I am better than others..
I know very well that my impression is not correct.. Some sensible spot in my mind says I do not add up to anything worthy..
Nevertheless the ego obliterates that bright spot..
After all, ninety percent of my life has been lived already..
Twenty percent in blissful simplicity and seventy percent in foolish arrogance..
I just want to have my innocent days back before I leave this world.
Only God can help..
It is easy to fight with others, but it is impossible to fight with oneself and win too..

an equilibrium between the silly and the sublime

The fun is in the fighting with the self..
Even if we cannot win fighting with ourselves, the attempted fight ultimately reduces the impact of base tendencies in our own selves..
By fighting with ourselves, we can try to touch the golden mean.. an equilibrium between the silly and the sublime.

the sweetest hour of the day in my life.

Seep is the first thing that takes leave of us as we grow old..
I.cannot sleep after 3 O Clock in the morning ..

There will be light outside only when it is thirty minutes after six..
Waiting eagerly to collect flowers for pooja..
I can do it only when there is at least twilight..
To be in touch with my plants and flowers in the morning makes that time the best in the daily routine..
the sweetest hour of the day in my life....
I call them my plants..
But God and Mother earth have created them.
They two-- God and mother Earth ( do not ask me whether God and Earth are different.. I would answer that Mother Earth is more loveable and bountiful that God Himself)-- decorate the plants with lots of flowers every morning..
And I take pride in collecting many of those flowers and again offering them to God..
Like a child offering a small piece bitten out of the big bar of chocolate presented to her to its mother..
and everyone knows the mother presented the chocolate bar to the child..
We just steal the glory of God and of people far better that us and try to show off as if we are big.
and often our show off is directed to the very same God or our preceptors.
Anyway they will heartily enjoy our silly song and dance because. after all, we are their children..

He is just waiting there with open hands to receive us whatever and whoever we are

Perumal (Krishna the supreme one ) will never reject anything we give him..even if it is just our sin.
He is just waiting there with open hands to receive us whatever and whoever we are.
Even for a person who seems to have lost everything perumal is there.
That is why every azhvar at some stage or other calls sriman narayana as mother..
often our concentrated sin and karma prevent us from calling out the aadhimoolam ..
we seem to be like fellows swimming in Ganga dying of thirst..
just because we refuse to open our mouths.

We can offer to God anything that is beautiful and which we love

We can offer to God anything that is beautiful and which we love ..
We love the beauty of flowers..
We enjoy the fragrance of the flowers..
So we offer flowers to God..
Regarding some flowers being offered to God in preference to other flowers I feel that is only a minor issue.
It appears to be a subsidiary idea developed by some hardcore yet not so erudite secondary scholars..
Simply, the idea is that we offer to God what we love and like most..
Of course, there are explanations for use or non use of certain floweres for pooja .. in some books .. but I am attracted by the beauty and mercy of the One supreme being rather than bookish schisms..

Use of words and intonations which can cause great damage.. are of four categories according to Manusmriti.
Use of crude, unsophisticated, coarse, unkind words, words that could not bring any good to anyone but can hurt people deeply.
Use of words to convey untruth, convey information that could harm especially words that are deviated from truth.
Use of words that cause unjust damage to someone else, accuse someone of some action or deed which was never committed by him, spread of calumny behind the back through unfair use of words.
Use of words which are simply lacking in any sense, use of words that would convey totally unintended and out of context information that may even mislead peole who listen.

revere the preceptor, never ever harbour enmity with guru

A person should pay his utmosts respects, first and foremost to his preceptor who has imparted him knowledge, training and education either in worldly affairs, in scriptures like Vedas or in matters realting to soul and spirituality.
A person should never entertain any sort of enmity with his teacher or preceptor. Even if the guru is displeased or angry with us for some reason beyond our control, the reason for such displeasure should be discreetly found out and the goodwill and pleasant attitude of the guru towards at should be restored. One should always take very positive gestures that would please the guru.

Such smiles are poisonous weapons..

Friendships, relations, even show of love .. all are cherished by an individual basically because these add to his individual peace of mind and happiness.
If these become triggers of mental strife and irritation, even after all the positive and negative aspects are evaluated and balanced, then it is better for him to clinically remove such friendships and relations and abstain from such stressful activities.
They grow like cancer to the mind..
Yes, many friendhsips, relations etc couched in jealousy and crass selfishness would exhibit a facade of geniality.. the hallmark yellow full toothed smile..
Such smiles are poisonous weapons..
Every one is free to have his own way of life... Unless he has been subjected to laws enforceble by statutes..
