उपकृतिसाहसिकतया क्षतिमपि गणयन्ति नो गुणिनः ।
जनयन्ति हि प्रकाशं दीपशिखाः स्वाङ्गदाहेन ॥ ७०४२॥

Vallabhadeva subhashitam
upakṛtisāhasikatayā kṣatimapi gaṇayanti no guṇinaḥ ।
janayanti hi prakāśaṃ dīpaśikhāḥ svāṅgadāhena ॥ 7042॥
People of great earnestness and sinecerity, people who possess great personal qualities do not mind, in their utter sincerity, nor do the care about damages that may happen to them while they are rendering their invaluable service for others and are being of supreme service in the interests of others. See the fate of the wicks of the lams that shed brilliant light and brighten the whole world. As the wicks burn and spread brightness, they burn down their own core and are completely destroyed.
Just think of our own brothers of our defence forces who protect the borders and security of our motherland.
गुणिनःearnest and enthusiastic people possessed of great personal qualities उपकृति in the matter of helping others, in the process of rendering themselves very useful to others साहसिकतया in their earnestly, in their enthusiasm आत्मनः their own क्षतिं damage, destruction अपि to न does not गणयन्ति consider, count on दीपशिखा: the bright wicks of lamps स्वाङ्ग दाहेन burning of their own body, their own core हि alone प्रकाशं brilliant light जनयन्ति generate
ഉപകൃതിസാഹസികതയാ ക്ഷതിമപി ഗണയന്തി നോ ഗുണിനഃ ।
ജനയന്തി ഹി പ്രകാശം ദീപശിഖാഃ സ്വാങ്ഗദാഹേന ॥ ൭൦൪൨॥

ഏറെ ആത്മാര്ത്ഥതയും കര്തവ്യബോധവും ഉള്ള മഹദ് വ്യക്തികള്, ഒത്തിരി സ്വഭാവ വൈശിഷ്ട്യം തങ്ങളില് സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്ന മഹാന്മാര് മറ്റുള്ളവര്ക്ക് സേവനം നടത്താന് ഇറങ്ങിപ്പുറപ്പെടുന്ന അവസരങ്ങളിലും സ്വയം മറന്നു അത്തരം പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളില് വ്യാപൃതരായിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും തങ്ങള്ക്ക് വ്യക്തിപരമായി സംഭവിക്കുന്ന നഷ്ടങ്ങളെയും കോട്ടങ്ങളെയും കുറിച്ച് ചിന്തിക്കാറുമില്ല. അവയെ വക വയ്ക്കരുമില്ല.
ചുറ്റും തീക്ഷ്ണമായ പ്രകാശം പരത്തി കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വിളക്കിനെ ഒന്ന് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കൂ. പ്രകാശം പരത്തുന്ന ഓരോ നിമിഷവും ആ തിരി സ്വയം കത്തി ഇല്ലാതാവുകയാണ്..പക്ഷെ കത്തി സ്വയം അപ്രത്യക്ഷമാകുന്നതുവരെ അത് പ്രകാശം പരത്തിക്കൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കും.
നമ്മുടെ രാഷ്ട്രത്തിന്റെ സുരക്ഷക്കും നിലനില്പ്പിനും വേണ്ടി മാത്രം സ്വയം മറന്നു, സ്വന്തം ജീവിതവും സുഖസൌര്യങ്ങളും എല്ലാം മാറ്റി നിര്ത്തി അതിര്ത്തികളില് കാവല് നില്ക്കുന്ന നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരങ്ങളായ ജവാന്മാരെക്കുരിച്ക് ഒരു നിമിഷം ഓര്ത്തു നോക്കുക
