निर्धनश्चापि कामार्थी दरिद्रः कलहप्रियः |
मंदशास्त्रो विवादार्थी त्रिविधं मूर्खलक्षणम् ||
सुभाषित सुधानिधि
nirdhanaścāpi kāmārthī daridraḥ kalahapriyaḥ |
maṃdaśāstro vivādārthī trividhaṃ mūrkhalakṣaṇam ||
subhāṣita sudhānidhi
These three activities are the signs of utterly incorrigible idiots.
!. The desire of a man without any liquid cash or resources who expects to enjoy all the comforts of life
2. The tendency of a person who is lacking all resources and therefore is very weak, but is always eager to pick up quarrels with others even on petty issues
3 The attempt of a fellow lacking basing knowledge in sciences and scriptures to engage in scholarly debates.
निर्धनः utterly indigent, penniless कामार्थी desirous of comforts in life च too कलहप्रियः indulging in quarrels दरिद्रः weakened by poverty च too मन्दशास्त्रः lacking knowledge in sciences and scriptures विवादार्थी desirous of indulging in debates च अपि all these त्रिविधं three types मुर्खलक्षणं. Of utterly incorrigible idiots
നിര്ധ നശ്ചാപി കാമാര്ത്ഥീ ദരിദ്രഃ കലഹപ്രിയഃ |
മന്ദശാസ്ത്രോ വിവാദാര്ത്ഥീ ത്രിവിധം മൂര്ഖലക്ഷണം ||

വിഡ്ഢികളില് വെച്ച് ഏറ്റവും വിഡ്ഢികള് ആയവരുടെ എടുത്തുപറയാന് പാകത്തില് കാണുന്ന മൂന്ന് ലക്ഷണങ്ങങ്ങള്.
൧. കൈയില് ചില്ലിക്കാശു എടുക്കാന് വകയില്ല, അടുത്ത ഊണിനു തെണ്ടി നടക്കണം എങ്കിലും എല്ലാ സുഖസൌകര്യങ്ങളും അനുഭവിക്കണം എന്ന തത്രപ്പാട്
൨ ഒരു കഴിവും ഇല്ല, സാമ്പത്തികമായോ ശാരീരികമായോ ഒന്നും നേടിയെടുക്കാനുള്ള കെല്പ് ഒട്ടുമില്ല.. പക്ഷെ മറ്റുള്ളവരുമായി വഴക്ക് കൂടി അതിലെല്ലാം അവരെ തോല്പ്പിക്കാനുള്ള വ്യഗ്രത.
൩. ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങളിലും കലകളിലും ഒന്നും ഒട്ടും അറിവോ വായനയോ ഇല്ലേയില്ല. പക്ഷെ വലിയ സഭകളിലും സമിതികളിലും ഞെളിഞ്ഞിരിന്നു ചര്ച്ചകള് നടത്താന് ഉള്ള തീവ്രശ്രമം
